Does anyone with at least 5 operational brain cells actually believe this would work??? Once the 14 trillion was handed out folks like this guy would then say it's not enough and would be wanting more. But here is the bigger point. This guy and others like him are ignoring the elephant in the living room. Most whites in that era did NOT own slaves. I've read somewhere that less than 1% of the white population, the wealthiest, owned slaves on their plantations. My own personal family tree is NOT from the south but from the north, yet it would be my tax dollars being used in this hand out. Secondly, a huge and terrible price was paid with blood already. It was called the Civil War! Another point, all I keep hearing from the MSM is all the "racial injustice" that is rampant in this society and a lot of Democrats in government make it sound like we are still living in the days slavery. Some people seem to ignore the fact that, very recently, the most powerful person on the planet (at least in theory), the president of the USA, was BLACK! And if there is so much racial injustice, how do you explain all of the black doctors, lawyers, airline pilots, nurses, CPA's, so forth and so on??? Before everyone starts crucifying me on this post I will agree there is racial prejudice still around which is compounded by police brutality targeted against blacks. I've witnessed that myself. But it would be nice if people would stop believing what they're told to believe by the MSM and recognize that, as Americans, we have a lot more in common with each other than we realize and stop listening to people in government that maintain their political careers by splitting us all apart.

We don't need reparations, but some more equitable distribution of waelth so that the lower and middle classes have a chance to live somewhat better and more hopeful lives is indeed needed.

Then they should ask for them from their mother country. They were sold by their own leaders to them. Yes many also died in the civil war which did free slaves and yes white blood was spilled. Also it was the same laws that freed the slaves that allowed corporations power to become entities which is what it was really about.
