Well I confirmed it works. Burner phones are usable for verification on Twitter, FB, and Gmail. Just tested it on all 3

Those in the know, use the virtual numbers on burner phones.

"Unsupported phone number" can't work if you're behind a veepeeen. They use another system to lookup if you're using a virtual number. There's ways around the lookup.

The very first thing you can do which works on both Twitter and Gmail is to open the page in an iframe and send the ping back to the app and it just accepts it honky-dory.
