SANDUSKY — Kings Island and Kalahari Resorts both filed lawsuits in Ohio courts demanding they be allowed to reopen, according to local officials. Kings Island, an amusement park operated by Cedar Point's parent company Cedar Fair, filed the lawsuit in Warren County. Kalahari Resort, headquartered in Dells, Wisconsin, filed in Erie County, where it operates Kalahari Resort in Sandusky. ... ... ... The Kalahari lawsuit names Dr. Amy Acton in her official capacity as the director of the Ohio Department of Health and the Warren County Health District as defendants, according to news accounts. Ohio Gov. I don't think the state will let them open this season. They rely on a lot of J-1's to work the park and hotels. We drove by the dorm just off the causeway and there are some employees there, but nowhere full. This shut down is killing the area. |
