Recommend a good water filter to remove fluoride

No, I don't work for Berkey. Just looking for good advice. My question is sincere.

On the Berkey you have to get the fluoride filters for it unless they have changed their big black filters.

25 years in public works. You cant filter flouride. The only thing that takes it out is reverse osmosis....

on that Berkey since it came up here.. there are some impressive home tests of it on you tube videos.... Its ability to filter disease agents is quite impressive.

Most filters will not remove fluoride.

Reverse Osmosis will.

As of a couple years ago the only regular filter I could find that truly removed fluoride was a 3 stage system by Chrystal Quest. Fluoride is t particulate so there has to be a chemical reaction to get rid of it. Chrystal Quest was the only non RO at the time that had the technology

Nope, standard reverse osmosis does not remove flouride.

It requires a specialized filter. The available ones use an aluminum substrate that leaves residue in the water (Berkey add on filter).

It's supposedly in a form that the body does not absorb. But the residue makes me nervous anyway. I use my Berkey without the flouride add on.

Alexia Pure is a really good filtration system and according to sources, as per the one linked, removes 95 - 97 percent fluoride. Evidently, there are many forms of fluoride.

I’ve seen the system go on sale for as low as $168.00, but it usually sells for around $250. The filter lasts for 5,000 gallons.

I once distilled my water, but found this brand. I have to fill the stainless steel container once or twice a day, but small price for good water.

Distilling does not remove fluoride either.

when my berkey floride filters were past their time.. I did not replace them... you see... the amount if floride in water is not abnormal at all... there is a bit too much propaganda about the stuff... like it kills your pituitary and pineal and all that and its new age bullshit.

you should not eat tubes and tubes of toothpaste and such... but overall the amount added to water is good for you... after all it cuts tooth decay so it also helps your bones and such.
