It is unlikely that anyone but the far left (small percentage) thinks you should. The real concern here is the probability that you are being gas lighted. They know you never do this, so asking for it is specifically searching for conflict. In the same way DT gas lights the left by his mere existence. Is there some nefarious "they" behind the scenes creating two poles and setting up the pieces for war? Certainly seems possible, certainly seems to fit in with what we have seen lately.

However all of this may still be a simple result of modern/social media that allows you to simply block, not view, ban, ignore all dissenting opinion. We all retreat into echo chambers and when we occasionally emerge we have to deal with others that are so different that we are left with the false idea that they are too different to be salvageable.

In either case if there is a big bad pushing for war, we should run counter. If there isn't then we should notice the blind spots modern "communication" has created and try to alleviate these. Rational grownup voices must prevail or this ends with blood on everyone's hands.
