I feel the same way. It's why I try to keep going. Push through the pain. The physical pain is excruciating at times. My body aches from a previous accident. Now my teeth out of nowhere are starting to fail me. Cannnot afford to get proper treatment. Dealt with mental illness since adolescence. But you're right. If I wasn't needed here, I'd be elsewhere.
