Anyone else sick of companies sending political messages?
Why can't they just provide the goods and services we are willing to pay for and stop trying to inform our political opinions?

The latest offender is Skip the Dishes. They sent me an inflammatory pro BLM email telling me about all the ways they will distinguish between their employees, partners and customers based on skin color.

I have placed a complaint on their chat and asked them to delete my account. I don't need a company that delivers food to inform me, no more than I would ask the local newspaper to deliver my food.

I really am sick of it. If I provide my email to a company I expect them to keep it down to business. How dare they send me unsolicited emails furthering a divisive political message.

Or am I just old and cranky?

No...it makes it easier to know who to boycott. They tell me themselves without me having to research a thing.

See, I don't care what they think about anything. As long as they don't try to push it on me or use it to be in step with the latest blue check marks and trending twatter hashtags. But if they want to go there, I won't spend another cent with them.

Same here...I meant if I get anything political from them one way or the other, I am done with them. Although I have to say I have yet to get one from any company saying how great Trump or the country is.

Ruffwear (dog coats, leashes, etc.) sent an email of an armed black man wearing a bulletproof vest, arm tattoos, and a hard AF look on his face.
He says he is afraid to go into the woods. Well, my best friend is black and he is afraid of squirrels, so no surprise there.
A glock and a bulletproof vest, and this “brand ambassador” is afraid of the woods.

They virtue signaled their way right into a lifetime boycott.

These millennial idiots destroy everything they touch.

The stupidest part of all is that at least where I am, the delivery drivers are all Indian or Middle Eastern. Never had a white person, a First Nations person or a black person bring my order. I just got a reply back and whether they intended it or not, it just added insult to injury, assuming that I am biased because I am white, which I am NOT. Fuck em.

Update on Skip the Dishes. They sent me an email saying they have deleted my account, that it's clear that my opinions don't match theirs, if I change my views to please sign up again. So the message is they don't want customers that don't think the way they do. They must think I am a white supremist or something just as bad, but that is their assumption, that only white people would disagree with their delusions. The irony is I am not even white.

Yes.

I unsubscribed from my Kripalu e-mail newsletters as they told me BLM.

I noticed a BLM sign on my morning walk outside where I live. I am so tempted to chuck it in the dumpster.

With me, there’s no racism until you bring it up.

A worldwide dance fitness program sent me an email and posted on their FB page with their pro BLM propoganda, including a list of movies, books and podcasts, etc. I could use to educate myself. On FB I posted, "stick to dancing please" and got a lot of racist replies.

How long until they tell us how we should vote also?

Exactly. I am not white, and I have never had a problem with racism, probably because I don't go around reminding people how my skin isn't white and demanding they recognize it. I speak the language of the land I am in, even though I can speak others and my first language isn't English. Martin Luther King and the civil rights movement wanted to end segregation based on skin color. It only took a few decades and now the grandchildren of the people that followed MLK are DEMANDING segregation based on skin color. The world is going mad.

Indeed. My "do not buy from" list has grown quite a bit in the last few years. Nike, Gillette, Target, Netflix, Starbucks, etc. Not one red cent of mine will be spent with them EVER again. I'm sure there is some bean counter who calculates the risk of lost business vs increased business when they go "woke" but to me it seems dumb to risk alienating half of a potential customer base just to virtue signal.

Re: Anyone else sick of companies sending political messages?
I volunteer for a contemporary ballet dance company in Philadelphia. They are awesome! There are 10 dancers, five women and five men. Two of the male dancers are black. All the dancers are very sweet, very personable. Unbelievably talented.

I get to see performances, three a year, for free. The female director is a very nice person. I always make an annual donation, but from now on, no more! She sent an email to all supporters/donors that she supports Black Lives Matter.

Late to the party, yeah I know, but just cancelled Netflix and Comcast and won’t waste anymore time on sports. Just cut out NASCAR (they were last one standing after I dropped the NFL a few years back) I also needed new running shoes, no more NIke obviously.

Bonus: we cut out Ocean City MD Boardwalk a few years ago, based on the recent video posted it was a good choice and they won’t see any of our dollars unless they make changes.

See my post above. This dance company has people who support them financially. Seats for their performances are sold out at every performance. Performances take place for 7 days three times a year, and they tour to other cities in the USA. They also have an annual charity event. People spend thousands on auctions that take place at the event.

I am wondering how many donors now feel like I do, or do they not care that BLM burned down cities.

Yes.

And I'm expressing my "sickness" of it with my $$$.

Stop complaining.

Start responding.

Cut your part of their revenue flow.

There's a massive force for change in the "silent majority" and it's in your pocket.

Amazon, Netflix, and switching from t-mobile are my start. Trying to gather a list still. This is also a sign that companies have the same problem as big government. Too much consolidated power and we end up with this. I honestly believe this has more to do with the antitrust/censorship push against big tech and media. Yet they’re so big they can reign havoc on our country when we try and hold them accountable.
