Yes very sick of being told what to think and little reminders everywhere. They just need to be silent. No one cares. Same with actors.

Boycotting them is pretty much futile as long as the government continues to bail them out.

Irony:

If you don’t support a movement which is destroying black neighborhoods then you are racist.

How stupid can you possibly be?

Go local and small as much as possible.

E.g., I'm going to start asking the local town businesses if they can stock the same or similar items I purchase at the big box stores 10 miles away.

If they can, I'll gladly pay a higher price to keep my money local, in the hands of people I know are who are loyal to the community.

As to media - it's all cultural, social, spiritual, and intellectual trash anyway, and by design.

Dump it.

Yep unsubscribed from Fitbit today and threw both the trackers in the trash after they sent me some crap about my white privilege and how they support the rioters. They will never see another dime from me or mine.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77888595

Heh, I unsubscribed from Fitbit last week too.

Stopped going to Walmart.

Stopped going to Petco.

Started going to a local hardware store instead of Home Depot or Lowes.

Cashed out my points with Petsmart, don't plan on using them again.

Stopped buying stuff off Amazon, will cancel Prime at the end of the month before it renews again.

Won't post on NextDoor again unless there's a really good reason to.

Am screwed for shoes, all the major brands have declared themselves commie. Might as well just buy openly chicom crap from sportsmans guide or something.

Lots of changes.

Not supporting what we deem wrong is not futile. It’s like a siege that starves out a city. Sooner or later the government will cut its losses.

Why can't they just provide the goods and services we are willing to pay for and stop trying to inform our political opinions?

The latest offender is Skip the Dishes. They sent me an inflammatory pro BLM email telling me about all the ways they will distinguish between their employees, partners and customers based on skin color.

I have placed a complaint on their chat and asked them to delete my account. I don't need a company that delivers food to inform me, no more than I would ask the local newspaper to deliver my food.

I really am sick of it. If I provide my email to a company I expect them to keep it down to business. How dare they send me unsolicited emails furthering a divisive political message.

Or am I just old and cranky?
 Quoting: KeepingItReal

Let your money talk. Regardless of which way they lean politically if they don't match your core values you pivot your purchase.

Simple. You don't need to rile up a conspiracy theory boards for this so you can get your cohorts to agree with you.

You are absolutely correct in your assessment and position. All of these companies should be forced out of business forever.

No...it makes it easier to know who to boycott. They tell me themselves without me having to research a thing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78299140

See, I don't care what they think about anything. As long as they don't try to push it on me or use it to be in step with the latest blue check marks and trending twatter hashtags. But if they want to go there, I won't spend another cent with them.
 Quoting: KeepingItReal

Indeed. My "do not buy from" list has grown quite a bit in the last few years. Nike, Gillette, Target, Netflix, Starbucks, etc. Not one red cent of mine will be spent with them EVER again. I'm sure there is some bean counter who calculates the risk of lost business vs increased business when they go "woke" but to me it seems dumb to risk alienating half of a potential customer base just to virtue signal.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53199845

Did you ever hear theories about when Target shot themselves in the foot by letting men in restrooms and dressing rooms with little girls, teenage girls and women?

Some people said the company was so mismanaged that they knew it was heading for bankruptcy already, and that the CEO decided to establish the restroom and bathroom policies knowing they would drive normal families (their main customers) away - - so that they could blame "bigots" for their own failure.

I'm tired of it as well. It is overkill. I don't need politics involved in places like Pet Smart and the grocery store. Companies need to stop jumping on the bandwagon but the latest thing seems to be that if they do NOT send a message, they're accused of racism and not caring. They're only sending those messages to avoid being shamed by the mob which is a problem in and of itself.

A couple of thoughts here. I think this movement is being played to bring about a Nazi state. They did the same thing in Germany with the Commies burning stuff. I think Kissenger said something like people would be appalled to see the military police LA today but will be thankful in the future... or something akin to this.

Problem/Reaction/Solution...

I realized today that NOBODY is a label. People aren't female or male or this or that. We are human beings and the labels are given by somebody else who wants to play divide and conquer all the time. We are all human. Reject the label.

Anyway, I think if you are being told to comply then you don't need the company. This company costs you money and you don't need their stuff - really no company is all important. IMO...
