The mayor in my local small town is a women she is actually doing a good job. She is working with people to rebuild this shithole and bringing people back to help restore our economy. She's the first political figure here to stuff their pockets full... well so far. Ha.

I'm a woman and the last place I would want to be is a world run by women, sorry.

Men and women need each other to balance each other out. Women without men and men without women are both bad situations.

We have a Black Woman mayor here in Summerland BC. Recently she caused a big stink about a Dollar store selling Rebel flag bandanas. She claimed they were racist and confronted the store owner. After getting them for free, she cut them up with scissors. Apparently, she was very rude to the owner and employees. Now we have citizens demanding an apology from her. She pretty well told us all to stick it. Real class act. Bitch.

Yet with all the real concerns of a mayor of an average city such as the efficient and honest running of the police department, conduct of the city's business, civic improvements, the budget, the adjustments to policy in line with the wishes of the town council, the hiring and firing of city employees, water department, sanitation, future planning, taxation and the recruitment of new companies to employ the citizenry and bring wealth, the main thing she wanted to correct was the availability of do rags with the Confederate Battle flag motif which are just unbearable to one and all. IOW, she's an inept fool.

I would have set up a fenced enclosure and had officers bring the rioters there as one by one or in groups as they were caught. When they have been rounded up and booked, I'd form them into work details and they would clean up, pressure wash and put right as much of their damage as could be done by unskilled lumps like them.
