Was Juneteenth always a thing?

I’ve never heard of it before. Then again, I am Canadian.

It's one of those multidimensional seepages like 'boogaloos.' and Nelson Mandela not dying in the 80's

One of the biggest ways to prove youre an idiot is by using actions from republican/democratic party from 150 years ago as some kind of moral indicator. It's not even disputed that the republican/democratic parties are inverses of what they were 150 years ago

Not sure, but I think it's a BLM slogan.

Go back to history class.

The Republican party during that time was liberal.

The Democrats were conservative.

They flipped during the late 1800's to early 1900's.

It is actually quite disputed. The whole "party inverse" is simply a lie that has been repeated so many times that people believe it. There is no supporting evidence for such a notion, and it only takes an honest inquiry into the matter to see how much it's foundation is a whole swamp of bullshit.

Yeah and the word liberal meant something completely different than it does now.

Original Republican party equaled big gov.

Original Democrat equaled small gov.

Is that a better comparison?
