Quoting: Boaty It was the Republican Party who freed the slaves. I never herd of this until last week and I'm 45 years old Why bring this shit up now |

Quoting: Boaty It was the Republican Party who freed the slaves. I never herd of this until last week and I'm 45 years old Why bring this shit up now A lot of well-educated people don't know that the Republicans freed the slaves and the Democrats founded the KKK. It's okay AC. That's why I made this thread. To educate you. Then again, I am Canadian. I've never heard of it before and I'm American! It just popped up in my apple calendars as a "holiday". ?? I'm not celebrating "Kwanza" either. Another fake celebration day, look up Cinco de Mayo. Some of these bogus party days are just an excuse to swill beer and test fire the AK's into crowds. Bingo. I vaguely recall in elementary school & again in a college Texas history class touching on this, but it wasn't a big deal (and I had many Juneteenths in Dallas and Waco), but we didn't celebrate it. I think a few blacks did, but they weren't having raucous celebrations...saved the big parties for Texas' state religion, high school feetsball. Timor quem habebitis mox non memoria tenebitur |
