WTF! I just got an email that an insurance carrier we work with is 'closing early' tomorrow in honor of the Juneteenth 'Holiday'. I guess **it happens fast if they already pushed this through as recognized holiday.

I vaguely recall in elementary school & again in a college Texas history class touching on this, but it wasn't a big deal (and I had many Juneteenths in Dallas and Waco), but we didn't celebrate it. I think a few blacks did, but they weren't having raucous celebrations...saved the big parties for Texas' state religion, high school feetsball.
