The objective is to be in a position to do whatever they want, to control the narrative and to control the agenda. And that objective they are close to achieve, because conservatives have made themselves irrelevant by being passive, hiding at home in silence. Only some very few are out in the streets or on social media. And that makes it very easy for the marxist media to label them as "extremists". If millions of conservatives were out in the streets, it would be very hard to label them all as extremists. Then they would have been a force to take into consideration. Now they can safely be run totally over.

Honestly folks, if one ponders the root cause of the vast majority of our internal issues within the US, the nukkin figgers, their behavior, their demands, their special needs, their costs, ARE THE ISSUE.

Most people don't agree with either "side". They love their country, their communities, family and just want to live a dignified and peaceful life. They don't tweet bomb about social causes and take to the streets because they are too busy working and trying to keep it together. Governments and institutions are corrupt to the core, they were created to serve the people but that hasn't been the case as long as I've been alive.

They are using the same playbook they did back in the 60s when too many people were refusing to believe the official story about the killing of JFK. Too many people were not happy about the war in Vietnam, most didn't want to send their kids off to war right out of high school. Youth was disaffected and frightened. At the same time there were sane people that wanted to end segregation based on race. They were sane protesters, they believed in their cause. That's when the hippie "movement" was inserted and attached to the existing protest groups. They flooded youth with drugs, anthems and stirred them up. They really had no understanding of the causes they supposedly were protesting against, they were just following the fad. The media didn't talk about the JFK truthers anymore, the news was concentrated on the hippies and black panthers and of course the daily arrival of kids in flag draped coffins. Sane people walked away from supporting the original causes, and people became divided according to age, race and political opinion. Back then it was the Black Panthers, today it's BLM. Back then it was hippies, today it's purple haired kids with noserings and tattoos. Many people that started the original movements stepped away in disgust when it lost meaning and focus and became violent. Their voices were drowned out by the crazy late comers.

Divide and conquer. One of the oldest ploys and we keep falling for it.

Can't believe how many here think civil war is a solution. Be careful what you wish for. How GLP has changed over the years! The posters used to be critical thinkers and made fun of knee jerk reactions based on feelings. They didn't just drop an opinion and shout down anyone that had a different one. They reasoned out why they had that opinion and defended it. Some great discussions back then, and it wasn't unusual for people to be convinced and change their mind. There was also some fun role play and intelligent humor. Now there are a few voices of sanity drowned out by reactionaries on the imaginary right and reactionaries on the imaginary left and tons of bots and trolls to boot. Sanity, critical thinking and intelligence is sadly lacking these days.
