Scientists in Italy have found traces of the coronavirus in wastewater collected from Milan and Turin December 2019

Small studies conducted by scientific teams in the Netherlands, France, Australia and elsewhere have found signs that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be detected in sewage, and many countries are beginning to use wastewater sampling to track the spread of the disease.

Scientists said the detection of traces of the virus before the end of 2019 was consistent with evidence emerging in other countries that COVID-19 may have been circulating before China reported the first cases of a new disease on December 31.

Claims that it dies in water and no worry about those with septic tanks or the people who dump them etc just flew out the window

Two niebours a few thousand feet from my door were rushed to the ICU Last week whin the complex I live.

The CDC was finding it in posthumous examinations of corpses thought to have died of flu or pneumonia predating the official arrival of the virus here on our shores.

What the Italian study isn't making clear (for PC reasons no doubt) is that northern Italy is full of Chinese workers employed by the garment industry.

There is a busy flight path between there and China. There are many national holidays from mid Sept through October when Chinese nationals are recorded as having visited China and returned To Italy.

What is amazing that it takes half a year for test results.........
