It's not as bleak as it's played on the MSM. My cool experience at my local Neighborhood Walmart. League City Tx.

So my wife spouted some of our seeds a couple of months ago. The cucumbers are doing amazing. So amazing that it became my job to make pickles.

I find a recipe, and need pickling seasoning. I head to Walmart. It's close. My only question? WTF does that look like?

So, I'm searching the seasoning isle, to no avail. Up walks an older black woman, probably my age. Early 60's.

I politely ask her if she knows anything about pickling seasoning? She saw I was in need of help. Clueless dude trying to make pickles.

Bless her heart. She really tried to help me. No BS, attitude or anything else. A human being was asking for her help, she may have made pickles before.

We crossed paths a couple of times before I found what I needed. I passed her again, and told her I had found what I was looking far. She had to see what I had found.

From there the conservation went to gardens. She shared that her decided husband was an avid Gardner. We both agreed that produce from your own garden taste better, Just because.

I hope to see her again. Classy lady. Period.

She wished me a happy fathers day. I thanked her for the wish, and the help.

A ray of hope, for all of us.
