Oddly scattered-looking to me.
I mean, I get it, big quake, but seems to have resonated northeastward in respect to buoy events?

Hey...Don't blame the guy for using expliclitives at a
time like that...You can get really nauseated in bigger
quakes from the gravitational waves from those quakes.

Hope there aren't more....

Re: 7.4 Quake Mexico!
Did anyone catch the report that there was to be a
CME impact to the planet this A.M. from a halo eruption
on the sun yesterday? I can't remember the thread I saw
this report but they were talking about how there could
be a huge quake as a result! Discussion as I recall reported
the halo CME was from the inbound comets setting off the
electrical discharge.

We felt some kind of "wave" up here in NW Montana at the
same timestamp (around quarter to 9:00 A.M. MT) which was
so powerful I took a dramamine for dizzy spell. We live
only a few dozen yards from the main faultline for NW Montana
so larger quakes like this can effect us up here (prolly
due to closeness to Yellowstone which will be showing effects
of this great quake today I'm sure.)

Shoot me a link to that thread if anyone knows what it was.

The buoy just south of epicenter recorded only 8 inches water column displacement, i doubt would cause tsunami. When tsunami occurs i've seen over 5 ft sudden waves recorded in the middle of ocean.

Most of older buildings all over Mexico are built from bricks and stones , they don't have too much lumber ; not safe for a country vulnerable to EQs.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78585132

A lot of those buildings are 300 - 400 years old and have seen lots of earthquakes. I was there in 85 for the big one, it wasn't this kind of building that collapsed. It was the ones built in the 70s or later.

Me too! I wrote down the time this A.M. when me and my
spouse were suddenly HIT with the terrible vertigo...NOT
normal for us (though I have reported on GLP before that
we are "solar sensitives" and have physical symptoms when
there are solar events.) The time was EXACTLY the same time
UTC the USGS reports for the quake in Mexico. Too coincidental
not to be related.

Could be an active day today for lots of stuff.

What ignorance. There are ghettos just like there are all over the US, but there are places that are like paradise too, not all Mexicans are poor sods trying to cross the border. Lovely country and lovely god fearing people.

Am i reading this correct, this one is recording 40 meters about 12o ft waves ? This buoy is instaled in 5240 meters deep water, and jumped to 5220 to 5465 m
