I have a lifelong fear of water (having grown up in the inner city with no experience of it) and cannot swim. And yet, I've been in plenty of pools with and without people. I can see a child dying, or a sick or spastic adult. But not 2 normal adults, that just does not happen. Even I would not die in something like that, it's just silly. You just go to the shallow end. When was the last time you heard of an adult accidentally dying in a pool, unless on drugs? Even then like that guy from the Stones, I tend to think they're murders. |
