Just when you think it can't get even stupider. What's next? If you have a fictional character with a drug addiction will they only cast drug addicts in the role? If the scene calls for a psycho, will they only cast psychos in the role? What about those "diverse" doctor shows? Will all those diverse characters have to actually BE doctors?
I got bored with the Simpsons a long time ago, it stopped being fun. I was sad when my favorite character Apu got cancelled for reasons. A guy I work with, the son of Indian immigrants used to wear an Apu t-shirt to work. It never occurred to him that he should be offended by a cartoon character that made him laugh and have some fun, until some purple haired Starbucks defender of all things non white enlightened him. He still wears his Apu t-shirt.
