This is the smartest post I have seen here in some time.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78658541 I have been living and working surrounded by far left liberals for years now. It crept up on me and now I can't believe I'm so uncomfortable in America, afraid to say one single word to almost any person that I am likely to encounter during any given day.
You can't even ask a question, much less have a friendly argument.
And before this I worked in a committed free-speech and free-thought environment. I never realized how much I took that for granted until I started to see that a lot of people think that there should be thought police and speech police.
There is that "gray man" theory that I have read about and I need to re-read it because honestly I am frightened.
I want to move, and I will, but I really don't know where to go or what I would do when I would get there.
I am north of Seattle and so concerned that the crap going on there and in Portland is going to spread up here. It's bad enough already, bad enough that I really want to leave, but if they start having violence and looting and burning cars and get rid of the police - it's freaking me out (I'm originally from Minneapolis too! It's all too close to home!)
