The Reason Trump continued to build all the vents/respirators? Poll

I have not followed the details.. This biowarfare has pissed me off to no end. Here is what I think: Trump will not do anything that loses him money. Ok.

Most production is shut down we need some production. Some money needs generated .. so there you have it. It is greed and it is does not save lives. Maybe it will prolong actual dying. That is all.

fumes, vapors, gases, airborne pathogens, and particulate matter. The public generally refers to them as "masks."

The Strategic National Stockpile should have BILLIONS stored away. Under 8 years of Obama, the stockpile was depleted but never restocked.

In the past decade, tens of BILLIONS of dollars were provided to the States for pandemic preparedness, including
their own supplies of respirators. Many states used that money for everything but pandemic preparedness.

What you are referring to are VENTILATORS.

We have more than 320 million people in this country.

While COVID-19 has thus far turned out to be far far less deadly than expected, public health experts,
virologists and epidemiologists worldwide expect far more deadly pathogens in the coming decade.

Many known diseases, including severe influenza, pneumonia, MERS, SARS, etc... can result in what is known
as ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). This is where fluid builds up in the tiny, elastic air
sacs (alveoli) in your lungs. The fluid keeps your lungs from filling with enough air, which means less oxygen
reaches your bloodstream. This deprives your organs of the oxygen they need to function.

If we have a national supply of 200,000 ventilators, that is only 4,000 per state.

That means that there is potential for a lot more people to end up in the freezer trucks.

This is why we need to store up more ventilators.

Having a large stockpile also allow us to help other nations if things get really bad.

There are much better and cost effective systems.

I don’t think dust storms are that bad and regular masks with oxygen supplemented would work for that.

Ventilators, you are correct. Thanks. As you said. Seems the present pathogen is showing us vents are not effective except in a very few cases. It has been my experience that few people placed on vents ever get off them. The exception are young, healthy people with acute conditions.

Rushed GOV contract with no out in the case they are not needed.

It may be a mix of oops, we missed some fine print but it's cool cause the stockpile was low to begin with.

I don't like all he's done related to covid but if the price was fair let em produce all ordered and give him the due credit.

Sure, why would they need them? The vents are as much a killer as a helper in most cases.

Ventilating means something else during war. Trump has said we are at war. Ford bult ventilators too in 1943.

Why do they need them lol? All hospitals needs respirators, maybe not for covid.

So in the context of the public discussion about vents Trump is implying the violent demise of person or persons. Hmmmm., he has an infinite number of ways to accomplish the same coms with out using this discussion. Possible but not likely. At least in my opinion.
