Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76921541 while I love your intent, I disagree. no reparations are due. except from the black warlords in Africa who caught and sold fellow blacks freely. they were the beginning, and it did it LONG before white people set foot there. There are no slave owners alive in America today. There are no former slaves alive in America today. No one in family ever owned a slave. That means, in America where generational guilt does not exist, there is not a single person that owes, or is due any reparations. I personally certainly do not owe anybody anything due to their long dead ancestors being slaves. Most blacks in America today are not descended from American slaves, their families emigrated here after the civil war. I don't have a problem with slave owners paying their former slaves to compensate for the wages they should have been paid, but their are no slave owners, or former slaves.
