I manage a higher end women's clothing store, when we closed on St. Patrick's day we were told we could only stay closed for three weeks because the distribution centers were full and there was no where for the product to go. I was one of the first wave of stores to re-open at the end of May with relatively normal inventory, I usually have around 14,000 units in store. I'm down to 7,000 units and we are being told we will not get replenishment until the end of July or August. Fall product is supposed to be coming in, but apparently they sent all of the summer product back to suppliers, at least that is what we are being told. Business has been booming since we reopened but at this rate I don't know that we will make it to August. If we are forced to close again, there definitely won't be any going back.

That's exactly what is happening at Ross. I was in one yesterday to buy some sheets and at least half the shelves were empty. All the shelves for sheets were empty.

So I went to another Ross. Same scene. With nothing even on the shelves to sell, how can they survive even another month?

naw, trump has put tariffs on china and all the pathways to china. The large corporations set their whole merchandise scheme to but dirt cheap from china and sell inflated to you. They thought Hillary would win and they'd have the monopoly are ready set up.

they are going out of business because they owe to the system that is being cut off. it's a debt slave system and it couldn't support itself.

They're not getting their shipments out of China, nothing to put on the shelves.

Simple logistics. Between Trump pissing them off and China's industrial shutdown, they are back logged for months on order I would imagine.

I for one couldn't care less. I have all I need, and If I ever do get hungry there is always cornfed longpig.

Went to a Kohl's in Southern Indiana. Middle of June and not one pair of shorts to be had. Socks selection was nil, lots of empty spots and what was left was very picked over.

This corroborates what I've been seeing and I'm starting to wonder if this is all an elaborate setup for a late summer/fall catastrophe - shutdown/forced masks/race pimps/market crash... and the propagandist fake media will go along with it. Ross is a liquidator though. Keep that mind. All their stuff is a year or at least a few seasons old shelf pulls for the Ritzier stores.

I did notice that BULQ had department store liquidations, but mostly clothes, and clothes are NOT selling well right now.

In all seriousness, if anyone has little ones that have their hearts set on a particular toy, doll, etc. between now and Christmas the time to start tracking it down is NOW.

You will not, in all likelihood, find it anywhere including online between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Um, not to be rude, but you didn't tell us any intel or anything, I mean it's obvious they're self-liquidating stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, etc, very obvious.

I mean if you've got some specific intel as to why they are expecting a short window, etc, please fill us in.

That's why I said in a few of my posts that the best thing to do right now is to buy things, everyday things you need, toaster, microwave, pots/pans, clothes, even buy double, because I see a lot of stuff disappearing.
