I'm seeing the opposite in my semi rural town. Uh, the place is 98% white and low crime. It looks to me like merchants are moving to towns like ours.

The President has GOT to start antibody testing individuals - anybody wants one can have one kind of thing. I know there are probably tens of millions who have antibodies. Give them green cards to pin on their clothing and let them go back to work, allow them not to mask up, and they don't have to social distance. The country is going to go belly up. Plus, it's not fair to make people who have already had it to wear masks and social distance - that's just preposterous.
 Quoting: GA Girl

OMG, just STOP IT! You're demanding we be tracked and okay'd just as they do to people in communist China. FUCK THAT.

The tests are not accurate. they do not test for antibodies to the fake COVID virus because it doesn't exist. Antibodies are NON SPECIFIC. They are just antibodies, not COVID antibodies, not flu antibodies, not common cold antibodies, just single purpose antibodies that go after anything they don't like.

The numbers of "infections" from the public "health" demons are FAKE. They are trying to destroy our country. That last thing we need is more "testing", driving up fake numbers with more fear and more shutdowns.

All this shit is going to be done through amazon moving forward. No actual need to go shopping when you can do it on your phone and on the couch watching tv. Most americans can be quite lazy about these things. Plus the hwalth risk will have people thinking twice about public shopping.

naw, trump has put tariffs on china and all the pathways to china. The large corporations set their whole merchandise scheme to but dirt cheap from china and sell inflated to you. They thought Hillary would win and they'd have the monopoly are ready set up.

but Trump won and is closing their lines.
they are going out of business because they owe to the system that is being cut off. it's a debt slave system and it couldn't support itself.

as we move to a new system of gold backed currency with value they will no longer be able to gouge the consumer and all their assets are tied up in worthless paper currency backed by nothing.

this is a tale of get off the pot and they didn't.

if you want to win, start producing/buying in America and reselling - it won't be as profitable but it will be steady.

that's is the new system - steady.
the day of the super rich and the rest of us are coming to a close.

this is going to equal the playing field and I for one am grateful to our President for taking on this fight.

Most retailers are preparing to go out of business. They are self-liquidating because cost and they know they only have a narrow "re-open" window to do it.

And...

Because the big liquidator companies are overwhelmed and can't move the product to other retailers because there are no other retailers now.

They can't even load it and ship it to dump it in Africa or South America.

So this is why.

Yup. Brand new Ross in our town was nearly empty after first shutdown. Also I noticed the one year old Hobby Lobby here has ALL their seasonal shit out, from every season. I was guessing they’re also going to close down. There go some jobs... that locals didn’t have for very long. And I forgot, our JCP is going out of business too. Before these stores came all there was were thrift stores. So back to square one... thrift stores + Walmart.

I'm not finding things at Walmart. I was looking for sheets, and their selection was dismal. Someone said that they had all been bought to make masks. I don't believe that. The supply lines have been upset or severed.

That's exactly what is happening at Ross. I was in one yesterday to buy some sheets and at least half the shelves were empty. All the shelves for sheets were empty.

So I went to another Ross. Same scene. With nothing even on the shelves to sell, how can they survive even another month?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79087889

I've been wondering how much of the shortages in inventory are due to problems with the freight industry and the supply line originally plugged up due to the shutdown of China. Even problems with staffing in stores due to Covid-19.

I've never been there and not even sure if we have in my area but those pics sure like a place going out of business. I've not seen anything like that other than a store that was.

BTW, I bought some awesome sheets at Meijer that are fantastic and you can find them online. Martex 700 thread count Supima cotton. Great quality, American cotton, made in India. Supima is a super smooth weave of Pima cotton, the best in the world and is naturally wrinkle resistant because of the weave. About 90-100 bucks for a queen set.

What's wrong? You wonder what's wrong?

You can start with way too many people in today's America having tender feelings for lousy, corrupt liberals (or leftwingers for people who have warm feelings for the word "liberal") like Joe Biden, or at least less resentment towards people like him, versus people like Donald Trump.

Multiply that for both the political and private-sector, both the government and social, and you end up with the toxic brew America is now tasting.

Um, not to be rude, but you didn't tell us any intel or anything, I mean it's obvious they're self-liquidating stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, etc, very obvious.

I mean if you've got some specific intel as to why they are expecting a short window, etc, please fill us in.

That's why I said in a few of my posts that the best thing to do right now is to buy things, everyday things you need, toaster, microwave, pots/pans, clothes, even buy double, because I see a lot of stuff disappearing.

As an Amazon seller who buys shelf pulls and liquidations I do not see this occurring. We are seeing companies selling out around the coastal areas and large cities. Midwest stores are loaded with product. Amazon is giving us the best sales numbers in my sales group we've ever seen. I believe the pent up demand was real and people are buying like nuts.

Meaning they're closing? Big stores?

With civil war having already commenced, I'd close up in big cities and the coasts, too. Anywhere high theft (already occurring) and riots are likely would be a good place to leave. Case in point: Minneapolis.

I use it, a lot, in cleaning stuff like fixtures, countertops, exterior of the toilets, etc, and to get it I'm gonna have drive all over town looking or order online at high price. I mean, WTF? Isn't it a common product, widely used all over the world? Must come from corn (? - not sure) but why in the hell isn't it available? Normalize every aberrant behavior, bring common all deviancy and let fly the reins of morality and reason, then welcome in that utopia that liberals embrace called communism, that which most Americans with but a shard of ethic would immediately recognize as evil.

E-Bay.

I found it looking for a product that is out of stock and I wish I had found it sooner.

They have everything and then some at great prices.

Agreed. eBay is a bitch to sell on (done it many times) but is great for buyers and it's not Amazon.
In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

I'm seeing the opposite in my semi rural town. Uh, the place is 98% white and low crime. It looks to me like merchants are moving to towns like ours.

The bad part about that is the populations will follow and try to fuck shit up. Look what they did to North Carolina. So sad.
