Trump rally was inside and no masks. “If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.” Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace "But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you." - Job 12:7,8 "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." - Hunter S. COVID now on the rise in 33 of them Mobile-phone location data from people who attended President Donald Trump’s rally in Oklahoma show that most came from outside Tulsa, hailing from at least 44 counties spread across 12 states. Covid-19 is on the rise in 33 of them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79087734 Trump supporters traveled from across the Oklahoma region for the June 20 event, according to a Bloomberg analysis of data from SafeGraph. They didn’t fill the arena though and public health experts say the extra space may have lessened the risks of transmission. Even so, it was far from a small gathering. Tulsa’s fire department estimated the crowd at the BOK Center numbered 6,200, making it the largest indoor event in the U.S. since March. People came from places including Tarrant County, Texas — home to Fort Worth — where new cases were up more than 50% in the two weeks before the rally. There’s also Shelby County, Tennessee, where Memphis is located, which put plans to loosen restrictions on hold last week after new infections spiked, and Wake County in North Carolina, where the state capital of Raleigh is and the virus is spreading faster than anywhere else in the state. All three states and Oklahoma are seeing rising case numbers. The virus has spiked in Texas, with record new numbers reported in each of the past three days, prompting Governor Greg Abbott to halt the state’s reopening. On Friday, he ordered all bars to close by noon after the state’s positive-test rate topped 11%. Oklahoma also reported a record number of new infections. [link to news.bloomberglaw.com (secure)] ‘Not Real’ Steve Jimenez drove 300 miles from Fort Worth to attend the rally. He said the virus is a hoax. “It’s about control,” Jimenez, 61, said while camped outside the arena on the eve of the rally. “The numbers are fabricated. They’re not real.” With all due respect to Steve Jimenez, who the fuck cares what one guy says? Do any of you even have a clue about how many people it would take to create a worldwide hoax like some of you apparently believe? And how quickly and easily it would be exposed? It could never get to this point. The stupidity it takes to believe such a thing is staggering. |

COVID now on the rise in 33 of them As I was told when there was doom about all sorts of milestones and nothing bad happened, its not just 2 weeks, it takes longer than 2 weeks for the exponential jump, and then another 4-6 weeks for the deaths to catch up. You can't *really* tell the impact an event has on the infections for 8 weeks until the event is over. (WI voting, GA reopening, ect) You can't get a real surge and see it from an event that happened 9 days ago, or so they told us when we all said "See, nothing happened, 2 weeks ago you said we'd all be dead from this event" Shifting goalposts all the time, its some serious gaslighting. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76653433 The % of people under 70 who die from this is vanishingly small. Scamdemic. |
