Being objective about it the only logical conclusion is it has mutated and is no longer nearly as deadly as it was in April, and it is now widespread throughout the entire population. Once it is endemic trying to stop it is pointless really, like trying to empty the ocean with a table spoon. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79087800 What you have to consider is that this spike of new infections just went exponential a week ago. Deaths lag. There is an average of 18 days between onset of symptoms and death. Check back around the 10th of July. Things could be very grim then. |

They told the patients they had psychological problems instead. Then they stepped back as patients suffered in pain. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75489966 They knew, they were just trying to hide it because its a bio/nano weapon. Interesting how theyre all dealing with their new bio weapon. Australia looks great, the curve remains flat and there are only 104 deaths. [link to www.worldometers.info (secure)] You don't believe that? I agree, Australia's fine. Survival rate for those without underlying conditions under the age of 70 is 99.8%. New infections are majority under age 50. That survival rate is closer to 99.99%. Quite being a DB. If the CDC says something then it is suspect. On the death rate, hard to tell what they count as a covid death. I live in Boulder County CO and we have about 18 infections reported a day in a county of about 500k. I wish it was 1800 per day. This winter will be a mess when everyone has lost their antibodies and it is flu season, due to using mask everywhere and always. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78861731 “We’re not in the situation of New Zealand or Singapore or Korea where a new case is rapidly identified and all the contacts are traced and people are isolated who are sick and people who are exposed are quarantined and they can keep things under control,” she said in an interview with The Journal of the American Medical Association’s Dr. Howard Bauchner. “We have way too much virus across the country for that right now, so it’s very discouraging.” “This is really the beginning,” Schuchat said of the U.S.’s recent surge in new cases. “I think there was a lot of wishful thinking around the country that, hey it’s summer. Everything’s going to be fine. We’re over this and we are not even beginning to be over this. There are a lot of worrisome factors about the last week or so.” “While you plan for it, you think about it, you have that human denial that it’s really going to happen on your watch, but it’s happening,” she said. “As much as we’ve studied the 1918 flu pandemic, I think what we’re experiencing as a global community is really bad and it’s similar to that 1918 transformational experience.” [link to www.cnbc.com (secure)] So - we got over the 1918 flu with no vaccine, we will get over this too. |

When they say "cases" they mean "people who have tested positive". If you have tested positive, it doesn't mean that you have, have had, or ever will have Covid-19. |

Pandemics kill people. Everyone dies. Pandemics just change when and why they die. The Spanish Flu was more virulent and during one spike due to a mutation killed people in the prime of their lives (unlike most that kill mostly the young and old). The healthcare system wasn't the same then as now. But we have a bigger population. Regardless - it is a pandemic. People will die. What are you going to do about it - take a vaccine? All you can do is take personal responsibility for your own health - get rest, lower stress, cut out sugar, alcohol, and refined carbs, take vitamins D, C, Zinc, etc. |
