Re: Anybody restarting their moves at age 50?
i do need a new job and some new friends.

i am focusing on the job right now, once I get a paycheck and get caught up on all the bills, then i'll worry about finding some new friends.

not really worried about finding a S.0. type relationship at this point. if it happens, it happens, but I got more pressing objectives to pursue at this point.
'bout time to hoist that ole black flag...

i’ve fucked up a few times. but i’m good right now. had to rebuild to get here.
but .. now what? i’ve got the girl and family. decent job not great.

but what else is there. do we “stop” and just sit at age 50. waiting to die ?

i say no. no we don’t. movement is life. keep moving

Yah, been learning new skills. Right now I have other commitments but once those are done I hope to employ my new skills freelancing.

But the government keeps making it harder and harder to be self sufficient/self reliant. Drives me crazy.

Me... If you only knew the whole story. It's been a couple of years now, but as I look back on it I'm proud of how I handled myself. I learned I was a lot tougher than I had given myself credit for. You know that old saying about hell having no fury...

Re: Anybody restarting their moves at age 50?
I'm truly shocked by the number of friends & co-workers who did not make 50. Wasn't drugs for any of them. If there is something you yearn to do, don't wait! Nobody knows how much time they have. Even if you are among those who do have a long life ... it goes by in a FLASH!!!

Re: Anybody restarting their moves at age 50?
Friends are overrated and my marriage is just fine. I did lose my job though and a new one has been elusive so far. I have savings and other income streams. If nothing else, I'll go back into business for myself if I have to. It is a bit unsettling though. I have a great work history and valuable skills, but no one is making any offers. I've never had this much trouble finding work.
I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again.
