To respond to the rude jerk that gave me red karma for not citing "yes, I had it and tested positive"....There's I think I had it, but wasn't tested, and Yes, I had it.

So, stfu. This isn't a technical document and if you can't comprehend inference, you're not capable of many, many things. Repeat elementary school.

Re: Who Has Had Covid 19 Here on GLP? Share your experience, please!
Had it (so i think) back in late Feb / early March.

Started feeling feverish and crummy on a Friday afternoon, no big deal, took off from work early and headed home.

By Sunday night I was a mess, Advil did a good job of controlling the fever symptoms. Breathing was a bit of an issue (I'm asthmatic and have albuterol and a nebulizer on hand, so breathing issues are nothing new for me).

Sunday night rolls around and I waited on the Advil too long, I got a case of the cold chills, shaking really hard, well, that triggered my asthma. I took the advil, it took about 30 minutes to catch up, in the meantime I laid on the bed on my stomach (the only position that felt marginally good) and lived hard on my nebulizer. If I didn't have that nebulizer I wouldn't be here today, it was really that bad.

repeat the above on Monday night as well, almost exactly.

I ended up taking Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off from work, I never take days off from work.

This, by far, was the sickest I've been in 40 years.

It cleared by Wednesday but the lingering breathing issues hung on for a week or so. I had other symptoms too, but the breathing thing trumped everything else. Hard to describe what it feels like when you can't get enough air and think you might be dying...

I only know people who know people who had it. I know several people whose elderly parents had it & were treated well in MA and were not put on ventilators but some other oxygen machine and they all recovered. Now NY very different, Cuomo sent Covid-19 patients to nursing homes in the most remote part of NY like deep in the Adirondack mountains in small towns in remote areas and many elders died because of it. My builder lost his father to CV19 in lake George ny area because infected patients were sent there.

So awful how Cuomo and several other Dem governors pretty much deliberately murdered these elderly people by infecting them. Charges should be brought against them but there's no justice anymore. I hope the families bring lawsuits, at least.

It's been long enough now that we should be able to ascertain a little about the percentage of people who have been infected or become ill with Covid 19. Or those who have been asymptomatic and tested positive, too.

If you or someone close to you has had it, and feel alright about it, please leave an overview of the experience and the outcome.

I'll leave my experience in the comments as well.

There may be some overlap on some of the choices, but this should give us a bit of an overview of the GLP experience with this. If you find that there needs to be a more thorough explanation, please add it.

No smack talk, please. There's plenty of that elsewhere!

I chose: I think I may have had this, but never was tested. I think I may of had the COVID-19 virus back in January of this year. If so then I can personally attest to it being the single most effed up flu virus I have ever had the displeasure of having.

Did the COVID-19 virus nearly kill me? Nope. It was just quite excruciating for the week and a half it did finally fully impact me. The two weeks leading up to that week and a half of hell were off and on again just so blase to me. However that hard hitting week and a half was quite doable with the OTC Cold and Flu meds I got.

So I can see why there are so many people thinking the COVID-19 virus is so super deadly. Too bad so many Americans are so pathetically weak. Virtually all of these same COVID-19 victims who are not immuno-compromised and/or elderly are ironically some of the most vocal weaklings on Earth. These are the very same people who will stub their toe and go to their local ER because it hurt something fierce. Pfft!

I have numerous coworkers diagnosed and one death for a diagnosed case.

My 7 year old niece had Flu B in February and recovered quickly however she has had odd a couple unusual periods of incoherent conversations that made no sense to her mom. Never before or since those 2.

Her mom also had a period of "flu syndrome" symptoms for about 4 weeks immediately after Christmas that now may have been this flu instead.

Yes! We have run low on nurses and doctors parading around their COVID-19 corpses! After all, all of those nurses and doctors were way ecstatic to be murdering so many sick Americans. I wonder how much of the monies involved they themselves get. Soon enough we will be saying, "Don't trust the millionaire doctors and nurses! It's all blood money, man!".

I have a fair amount of online friends who have had this, but counting only people in real life, 2 definitely and my husband very likely.

One has recovered and has antibodies, but is still experiencing shortness of breath and intense joint pain. Had no preexisting conditions and was very ill for over a month. The other was elderly but didn't have anything other than arthritis and he died from it in about a week from the appearance of symptoms.

My husband has RA and Lyme and has been feeling very unwell for a week. We've been very careful and doing an herbal and vitamin prophylaxis. But we're in an "Antimask League - There is no pathogen" stronghold. So now he has a dry cough, low grade fever, extreme exhaustion, gastric distress, constant headache, and brain fog.

To clarify, prophylaxis is only a mitigation methodology, not a force field or positive pressure biohazard suit.

I have no faith in the PCR test, so we are going to do treatment and then see about getting an antibody test.

We took extra vitamin D and C and drank lots of water. Fruit seemed to really help as well. Just our experience...

Ive been to the hospital 3 times since their supposed outbreak. Hardly anyone was there. I have traveled from Florida to Spokane on a friggin greyhound bus! (Couldn't get a flight). Ive been to I don't know how many hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc. Not met anyone who has a confirmed case. I do think I had this back in Jan (The way they describe it) but wasn't tested because it wasn't a thing. Imho they are testing to see how efficiently they can kill certain aspects of society in a precise manor. Every coffee bean has been tagged. What you consume is known. The conditions you have ate known. The drugs you take are full of little nano bots. Pull diabetics who take ______ (drug)... Pull those who have high BP on ______. Also wanted to add, my daughter brought it home from college and she is the only one that had shortness of breath. We all had different symptoms. My daughter had sat by a girl from Sheghai and the entire class got whatever it was. I was exhausted for 2 weeks and then my throat kept feeling like it was going to start hurting, more like sore glands. My mom felt awful for 3 days and slept a lot, then had a bad cough for 3 weeks, but every few days, she felt incrementally better. My son felt like he had rge flu for 2 weeks then was fine waking one morning and my husband never displayed signs, but was tired which we thought was from travel. Who knows?

The first people I knew to die from it in my circles were two healthy drug addicts. Well, as healthy as you can be in that lifestyle...they were weight-lifting club-going nightlife types who cared about their appearance, not the type you find on the corner shooting up.

If viral load has anything to do with it, I'm sure they got it in the clubs with all those sweating yelling people.

I think this is a difficult question to answer. There are many nurses & doctors who are calling the test results into question because they are receiving overwhelming positive results. Some nurses claim to have sent unused tests with fake names in & have still received positive results. In early June, many tests were found to be giving false positives & were deemed faulty.

Are all of these people really infected or are the tests giving false readings? The few people I know who’ve tested positive had symptoms that were not as bad as a mild cold. I think we would be smart to question the things were are hearing from “official” sources.

Thank you! I'll need to order some jasmine tea.

We've been doing a prophylactic regimen of artemisinin as a fair natural chloroquine and many other benefits, liposomal C, D3 and K2.

Having both Lyme and RA, and since I am fully convinced this is a mycoplasma pnuemonia combined with toxoplasmosis -maybe some other garbage in their as well- the shape shifting mycoplasm could be a partial reason for testing being so seriously faulty. But these conditions, along with being male, look to put him at more risk of being negatively affected.

Maybe people aren't grasping what the increased risk levels actually mean. It means that when your immune system is already compromised a bit, it takes much less of a pathogenic load to create actual illness. So this is why we employ mitigation tools in our lives. Just to minimize the potential load.

From what I have seen, the antibody tests are more likely to be accurate and the PCR tests are piss poor as they aren't even designed for this kind of testing. But that's an entirely different topic.

Since I have a doctor in the family, I'll tell what she sees. She works with the 'underprivileged' and has a lot of obesity, diabetics and renal cases.

So it is tearing through her population of patients. What surprises her is how two people in a household will be quite ill and perhaps two people in the same household will not get it at all.

What also surprises her is the phenomenal variance in how people get sick.

She believes it is more a vasculitis than anything. It attacks the blood transport system and how blood is able to deliver oxygen to the major organs. It is also very much a 'cytokine storm', so the immune system causes the problem because there is terrible body=wide inflammation.

So she says if you are already in oxidative stress, i.e., already have something that causes inflammation in the body you are starting behind the 8 ball.

She says that you MUST keep your body alkaline, STAY AWAY FROM SUGARS, that is a very important thing.

Also, LOSE the belly fat. It has a hormone profile very different than butt or thigh fat. Belly fat creates cytokines which cause inflammation. You can actually lose belly fat more simply than subcutaneous fat.

She does weird things, like takes cold showers (look it up), drinks water with a tablespoon of baking soda a couple times a day, wouldn't touch a soda for anything, cooks with and also swishes coconut oil in her mouth for the monolauric acid properties, takes HCQ, and zinc (quercetin for all of us who are not doctors) and thank God she hasn't gotten sick yet. She takes her vitamin D3/K2 very seriously, of course vitamin C, NAC and eats broccoli sprouts, because they create glutathione.

I'm in NJ.

- 2 different friends' elderly parents currently have it and are in ICU. They are in their early 80s and are both expected to recover but it's been like 6 or 7 weeks they have been very ill.
- One teenage classmate of my daughter had it well after "lockdown" began, her father is a prison guard and was the likely culprit; he avoided testing or isn't telling ... (this is currently an issue in the community bc wife runs at home daycare and didn't tell anyone teenager had covid)
- My neice's soccer coach and his entire family had it
- My cousin's baby daddy got a shock when he tested positive for antibodies but doesn't remember ever being sick
- A local doctor ... folks I know had to be tested because their doctor had it very early on after returning from Italy, and was seeing patients before he knew he was positive. My friends tested negative - I don't know if any of his patients were infected.

I think I had it a couple of months ago.. a short relatively mild version. (I never get colds or flu btw, never get vaccines for flu). I have been into alternative methods for several years now, so I eat holistic foods and so forth that prevent many disease states. I try to exercise and get sun exposure daily... just follow natural methods to stay healthy.

I evidently was exposed and my body and certain foods (antiviral, high in trace minerals such as copper and zinc) help to knock this down pretty quick. The reason I think I was exposed is that I experienced sensations in my chest and so forth I've never had. This lasted just a few days and then it was over. I monitered my temperature.. never had a fever, chills or anything like that. I avoided going out to avoid possibly exposing others. I'm guessing that if you do these things, this virus can be suppressed.

Hoping I now have natural immunity (which will help me avoid any future infection if exposed), but of course I still follow the alternative path.

Michigan here...

A good friend of mine whose wife works in a hospital, well both of them were sick back in December. The wife took an antibody test and her blood came back having the antibodies. So they figure they both had it back then.

I have a friend who is a pastor and one of his congregation died back in May of Covid (supposedly). He had all the symptoms.

I've been to the hospital 4 times since March (for my wife who had to undergo emergency surgery, non-emergency surgery and other issues). Neither of us had anything like the descriptions of the disease, but we take excellent supplements...
