And yet flu deaths and deaths from basically any other virus/infection are a fraction of average.

More monkey-brain math...
According to CDC statistics, the average number of deaths in the US from ALL causes stands at 2,813,503
18% of that is 506,430
Have 506,430 people died from COVID-19 this year so far?
(As of July 1st, the official count is 127,689)
Even the spurious claim that "...many people who died were not tested for the virus..." or "underestimated statistics" does not account for a 378,741 difference. And using New York City (which likely does have a 18% increase) with its incompetent Mayor and homicidally negligent Governor as template for extrapolating numbers for the entire country is both an amateurish move and intellectually dishonest.
So where are they getting "18%" ? It' simple... They're lying.

Re: Pandemic caused 18 percent rise in deaths in US: study
The coronavirus pandemic in the US claimed at least 122,000 more lives than would be expected in a normal year, for a rise of 18 percent, says a study released Wednesday.

But this is just a national average, and the excess death rate was particularly high in virus hot spots such as New York City, which buried three times more people than usual and up to seven times as many during the peak of the pandemic, according to a week by week study carried out at Yale University and published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine.

In New York City, the expected deaths under a demographic model based on statistics from previous years would be 13,000 from March 1 through the end of May. But this time the number of deaths recorded was 38,170.

What is more, throughout the first phase of the pandemic in the US the official COVID-19 death toll was widely underestimated, the statistics in this study show.

Re: Pandemic caused 18 percent rise in deaths in US: study

This study is a perfect example of "false dilemma" logic being used, although the term for it in this case is different but the idea is the same.

A) More 122K more lives were lost this year.

B) There was a pandemic this year.

Conclusion: The pandemic caused 122K more lives to be lost.

The problem is that without all sort of controls and inclusion of all variables (which is near impossible to even know what they are let alone account for them), you can't say, "Because A, then B."

So I am glad you brought up the "false dilemma" thread and the purported study together to give a fantastic example of how the media and its hysteria-driven headlines, as well as the self-serving "study community" are driving home their narrative to justify their continued existence.

It's even better that you just let these two concepts stand on their own without describing your intentions to GLP, thus giving the appearance that you were implying something completely different than you actually did. Bravo, five stars.

cruise

Good thing I'm not a trump humping loser, and I still KNOW THERE IS NO 'VIRUS', because the burden is on those that affirm its existence, and they haven't met any reasonably scientific standard proving it as such.

You morons might as well hang garlic from your necks to keep away vampires, because there is more empirical evidence for their existence than your science fiction fantasy virus.

There has been no isolation, purification, evidence of airborne capability, nor evidence that the 'virus' has ever been proven to 'leave' a sample via its orifices, attack another sample, reproduce itself, and induce symptoms in any legitimate laboratory that uses a valid control.

So go on, keep your garlic and cross around your neck, and pray to your priest, the end is neigh.

HUGE: MASSIVE CDC FRAUD UNCOVERED – CDC Grossly Overcounting Active China Coronavirus Cases Causing States to Keep Their Economies Closed Indefinitely

[link to www.thegatewaypundit.com (secure)]

The CDC is over counting the number of China coronavirus cases in an apparent effort to keep the country shut down throughout the summer. This fraudulent activity was uncovered by the far-left Atlantic proving even a dead clock is right twice a day.
On May 21, 2020, the Atlantic reported that the CDC was over counting the number of cases of individuals with the China coronavirus:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conflating the results of two different types of coronavirus tests, distorting several important metrics and providing the country with an inaccurate picture of the state of the pandemic. We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus. The upshot is that the government’s disease-fighting agency is overstating the country’s ability to test people who are sick with COVID-19. The agency confirmed to The Atlantic on Wednesday that it is mixing the results of viral and antibody tests, even though the two tests reveal different information and are used for different reasons.
I’ve always told a ya, the media’s not your friend.” ~ Chris Cuomo

Oh look, it's everyone's favorite Three-letter-agency virus shill promoting fake studies with fallacious unscientific metrics.

Hey CIA shill, please tell the people exactly how many controlled studies have proven the 'virus' is capable of expelling itself from a live person's orifices, floating through the air, infecting a sample, observed the virus attack the cells, reproduce itself, and induce pathogenic symptoms.

Surely you can find some, right? Surely you're not pumping foreign junk science that relies on fraudulent PCR and 'antibody' testing and can find a study in which an actual virus was physically observed in an electron microscope attacking a cell structure and replicating.

Can you find one? Or are you going to keep pasting fake studies out of foreign countries that use spurious metrics and prove absolutely nothing?
