I remember it. I have posted about Tank Man year after year and found that the past couple of years this bunch of GLPers seemed pretty disinterested. This year I passed because of personal matters.

There is a dedicated core of decent people here, actually, who always pay attention to the terrible abuse that China heaps on its citizens, and to them I shout out a loud Thank You!!

Of all the countries in this world, China's fate is tied to ours. I believe that we, as individuals, need to pay attention to China, or rather the Chinese Communist Party, as they wield great power under cover, and many of their repressive policies and systems already have been implemented in our country. The urban grid intelligence system (urban management) which utilizes wide spread surveillance cameras comes to mind. CCP operatives work in our government, sometimes in very high places.

Secondly, by ignoring the brutal tactics the CCP uses against its people, Americans in all social and political positions signal their acceptance of that kind of behavior. This means that given the circumstances, they will condone that kind of repression against you, the American citizen. Yes, you.

Most importantly, it signals that those who ignore Tank Man no longer know the difference between right and wrong. Those who ignore the brutal repression of Falun Gong no longer know the difference between right and wrong. That is a very dangerous position to be in, today and in the future.
