Re: Expat family , we escaped the USA, now living in Mexico , here’s the situation...
Mexico is also fudging number of the covid , Mexico locked everything down just like the USA , we are now free to go out and eat and everything is opened back up. But we fear they could lock down again.
Our goal is to get to a country where the gov of that country did not lock down anything for the people. Nicaragua made absolutely no demands of their people beside borders are closed to non residents unless u get tested for covid within 48 hours of this entry.

Now we must make a choice , we could buy a home in the mountains here in Mexico, or we could all get tested down the street (family of 5) (blood test). And escape mexiUsa.

Where ever we end up we are buying a home with a little land not in any 5g areas with close neighbors.

What would you do , would u trust the test to get to a country that did not lock their people down at all?

Testing info here.....

what’s best for your family is not having a coward, kinda fucked that one up. Your wife will leave you when she realizes you are worthless and whatever land you’re in can already tell you won’t help fortify or defend it so they’ll kill you
 Quoting: lurker342

Whatever tard , I defend when needed. The USA had already tried to take our kids once for living off the grid on my own property.

Sorry I will not It risk my kids with a gov out of control and out for your kids.

U have no power when they come for your kids. I had to show them my bank accounts and shit and fly the kids across the country fast . It was bad , they tried to set us up.

We will go to a place that the gov did not force anything on their citizens, this virus was a good test to see which countries are completely controlled by the tptb/the banks/ Zionist

Only few resisted and we would like to be in one of those .

Bad move expatriating. Especially to Latin America. There is nowhere to run from what is coming. The worse it gets, the larger the neon sign above your head and that of your family, gets. Assuming you are Caucasian. Don't ever expect to fit in. They may smile in your face, but you will always be a dirty gringo and a target. Eastern Europe, Poland, Belarus, Slovakia, Czech Rep. would have been a better choice. Seriously...

R U CRAZY ????? I practiced and studied medicine in Latin countries. One day, I was coming home(on bicycle) to El paso from Juarez and I heard gun shots. As I passed an outdoor cafe, over 10 people were shot too pieces and shit was all over; it was a Cartel hit, they killed a shitload of innocents to get 1 guy.

Latino countries :

Poor countries have no contract laws that you can enforce. You will never own land, even though you have a deed/title; it means nothing to corrupt officials.

Lawyers are corrupt and will keep delaying your case as you feed them thousands of dollars.

You need a permit for EVERYTHING you do and it costs.

Cops flag you down along the road for a bribe all the time.

You will pay GRINGO PRICES for many things while locals pay
dirt cheap prices.

Shitty medical care unless you pay big money for a private hospital.

Many neighborhoods only get a few hours of electricity per day unless a public official is living near you.

Shitty food quality.

Many locals will despise you for CORRUPTING THEIR YOUTH via Movies / TV.

WATCH THIS MOVIE : NO ESCAPE, its about a family moving to a foreign country.

I did the reverse, I was in Colombia, felt like that was the perfect place to ride this out, but then they shut down everything and you cannot even move between townships without special permission. I escaped and I’m in Florida now, which seems like the most libertarian place there is.

Latin America just isn’t good anywhere. The leftists have gotten their way. I know em all and have friends everywhere and there’s not one country in LatAm where you’ll have your personal liberties back.

In this hemisphere, it’s Florida or bust.

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world

Don't ever call yourself and American again. My hubby, Daughter and I are Patriots all the way.  Quoting: Peepaws

I live in Nicaragua. I moved here after the 2004 election because I hated the idea of perpetual war, The Patriot Act, the Carlyle Group, and the preparations for a police state.

I love it here. I have lived here 15 years, through the 2006 election of Daniel Ortega, the crisis in 2018, and all of the ups and downs.

I have more freedom here than I do in the US. I can buy prednisone, antibiotics, or most medications without a doctor's prescription, usually for just a few cents per tablet. I can drink a beer in a bottle on the beach or anywhere I want. I can pay my way out of a ticket. The police are usually pretty cool. I pass the military frequently and wave. Karens don't last very long here and often ridiculed on the FB forums.

I owned an iconic business for many years in a surf town. Now that the economy has crashed everywhere, I have no idea what will happen to the beach towns dependent upon tourism. I have 260 plus acres of bio-diverse land (even a waterfall) on which I planned to create a bilingual ecological education center for homesteading, permaculture and sustainability programs, but now I am working to create a permaculture farm/eco-spiritual community because tourism and travel is not going to rebound.

The heat can be horrible during April-May and sometimes August when the sun is directly overhead, but in the north like Matagalpa, it is cooler (low 80s in the day) and cool at night.

It is all lot different now than 15 years ago, when it was really like the wild west. It was a little bit dangerous in the past (an understatement), but definitely safer than Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras or El Salvador. Nicaragua is an adventure.

Re: Expat family , we escaped the USA, now living in Mexico , here’s the situation...
I have actually considered moving to Nicaragua as I think very soon Latin America will be safer than the US, and Nicaragua is cheaper to live, although gringos pay more. I don't know if I could take the heat though.

Lots of high ground in Nica. They raise cattle there. Should be possible to get close to a non-gringo price on important things by pitting one seller against another.

Where in the mountains of Mx would he go? Playa del Carmen is not in the mountains. Lots of different mountain areas in the country though.

What about Colombia?

Columbia is one of the strictest lockdowns along with all the countries friendly to the USA . That’s the problem there can’t even get in if we tried.

In Mexico our choice would be Guanajuato

Cool scenery there. Not a place most Americans have heard of.

After Costa Rica, Americans late to fleeing went to Ecuador and were possibly even happier as the prices were lower and so their savings went further.

But they have among the worst response to pandemic now.

It's sad because some went and fell in love with locals who became friends or others who started off as translators/Girl Fridays who helped them cope with life in a foreign country.
