many states have laws about "chemical weapons" for instance here in florida, you cannoy use (as a civilian) any chemical weapon that has more than two ounces of active spray on another person. Well in the stiff breeze we have here.. you may not get enough of that... there to do the job.

There are no "laws" about the 16 oz. can of brake-kleen in your car..

Ok, here's a legal update on self defense.

Wasp spray, I'm told is poison so you still may suffer an arrest for attempted murder since it's toxic.
Long shot bear spray and mace is non toxic, just painful.

Also, if you live in a state like Texas were the laws would let you defend your home and your vehicles parked on your property( not in the street) and you shoot someone you will still be arrested and face a jury trial.
What you do is very important to avoid jail time.
First, never shoot a person in the back if they are leaving.
Your lawyer has to prove you felt that you were threatened to warrant killing the invader.
The best thing you can do is place a few rough red bricks around your area in the grass or shrubs so after killing the invader you quickly toss a brick near them.
Fingerprints are impossible if the brick is crud and rough.
When the police show up be sure they put in the report that you felt your life was in danger as the invader was coming forward aggressively holding that brick.
