Meanwhile the guy who lifted some clothes from Walmart can file for parole in 2071. Clown world indeed. Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56299425 The police should pay for police incompetence. Get the money from the police union that is forever protecting lawless roid thugs. Or from the police retirement those cops will retire with at least a half million in their pockets. |

Last year a federal court denied the homeowners any compensation for those damages, even though they had no connection to the theft and did not willingly allow the fugitive into their house. This morning the Supreme Court announced that it will not hear the case. Anonymous Coward User ID: 66594553 United States 07/03/2020 12:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Let's not forget about civil asset forfeitures, where police will take your private property, without any charges of a crime, then you have to pay the value of the property taken to get the property back. AKA, the police are thugs who can steal whatever they want, at any time, without any charge of any wrongdoing, and the law totally allows this. This is a reality, here in the US. And most of us don't care, because it hasn't happened to us. I remember a notorious case where someone was trying to purchase a business with his life's savings, he had the money in cash and he was driving to try to make the deal when he was pulled over for speeding, supposedly, and the police stole the money under civil asset forfeiture. There was no evidence of a crime, nothing. They just took the money. It is activity like this... or the grenade thrown into the baby's crib, or the no knock warrant on the incorrect address and they shot the homeowner in his own bed... The police have been lawless for years. If you are a bully and thug, don't be surprised if people don't like you, and won't help you if you need help. This is a common lesson that everyone learns, except for these people who become above the law when they get a badge and gun after a couple months training. I recognize the need for policing, I totally do, but my own personal experience of being harassed by the police, abused by the police, while being totally innocent, backing up lawless behavior of the police I've seen reported for decades now..., the branch Davidians, they say Koresh molested a couple kids, so the police burned all those kids alive, yeah, that makes sense... it is clear that we do have a very real problem with the police in this country. Now all this BLM/Antifa bullshit is just communist insurgency to destabilize the country ahead of the election, so fuck them, I can't support them. But if we had a legit protest against lawless policing, I'd be there, non-violent, and protesting as hard and loud as I could. I kinda feel like if the police are going to enforce the law, they have to obey the law. It's pretty straightforward, imo. |

Wait until you see the new version of the police. People think they're going to get social workers. And maybe they wwill for a while... then the black thugs will get so out of control and people in every city will be demanding a stronger police force, and we'll have the enforcers, armed, funded, ready to carry out the forced vaccinations, child confiscations, pet executions and all-around douche-baggery x10. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79023146 United States 07/03/2020 12:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I may be wrong, but I believe these people were offered ample compensation multiple times and they kept asking for some outrageous amount of money for the damages which was denied. Quoting: Psychedelic Mashed Potatoes According to a link I cannot post, his insurance company paid him $345,000 for a house appraised at $600,000. He took out a loan for $600,000 to rebuild the house. The problem in all this is, other people that have insurance, not the police unions, are paying for this. That is a big problem. Do you think these cops would demolish a house if it came out of their own paycheck? Nope, they would have to get smart and realize they have skin in the game. No more killing people, blowing stuff up, stealing peoples property and destroying it since there are zero consequences. |

These people should be rightly compensated. Fuck insurance and all that.. They didn't have insurance but that has nothing to do with the police destroying their entire home, in a situation that they had nothing to do with. This is the kind of stuff people should be protesting for. People like this. If a bunch of people (not apes) went and said they were going to burn down the police station unless they were compensated... that'd be really interesting to see everyone be labeled terrorists. |
