Correct. After making a sharp turn to the right to avoid parked cars, he had to correct by making a sharp turn to the left to avoid going off the road. When you're looking at big cars parked in lanes you have to avoid. The last thing you expect is a bunch of humans standing in highway lanes.

This is strange. First of all, the video is of much higher quality, (the sound is exceptional quality also, not like a tinny phone audio), than most cell phone bystander recordings.
2nd, there is Zero reaction from whoever is recording it. They don't flinch, and they don't react audibly, which I find incredible. If it was me, and most people, I think , there would be an audible expletive of some kind. But nothing, not even a gasp. You can hear someone go 'oahhhhhhhhhhhhh', but, to my ear, it's coming from a way off whoever is holding that camera.
Also, like most others, I'm sure, I was amazed that neither were killed. One is in critical condition, and one upgraded to serious condition, last I could see.

Oh yeah, the way the two that get hit actually move toward the path of the car, rather than away like the other protestors, is also a little bit odd.

Here's the thing: The press and social media will frame this as a right-wing attack on peaceful protesters.

What they will not tell you is that the driver is an African (Somali), who probably was so privileged and used to getting his way, that he disregarded road blocks because he wanted to get to where he was going with no inconveniences.
The idiots on the highway are closing a major interstate thoroughfare with TOTAL disregard for the truck drivers and the working-class stiffs who need this road to get to their homes and places of work.

I feel terrible about the two persons who abandoned common sense AND common decency, by wiping their privileged asses on the folks who rely upon that major thoroughfare for their livelihoods and for their ability to convey themselves to their families, food stores and even to access medical care. They have no one but themselves to blame for their horrific fate.
