And this is why you should always be prepared and stocked up. I remember a time, when to be stocked up was normal. If we were close to running out of something like peroxide, rubbing alcohol, other first aid items, canned goods, paper products, etc., we stocked up so we would not run out. Now, the PC police call it hoarding. SMH.

Not just isopropyl alcohol, but for a variety of other merchandise in general.

Some of that is because the world's supply chain has been broken by China and Covid-19, some of it is because of hoarding, some of it is because of qualified truckers either being in short supply or avoiding certain traffic routes. Some retailers probably are also struggling with hard-pressed vendors and paying their bills in time.

Probably a combination of all three.

not high enough alc level. Everclear would work but guessing that is sold out too. Bought a few isopropyl 70 jumbo jugs in Feb. Checkout lady thought I was nuts. Squirt it on a paper towel and you got a handi wipe.

No one who has been on GLP since Jan should be in any trouble. The Covid thread started in Jan. I started prepping early Feb. Even though the stores now have some TP, I won't need any for a year. Defo don't need isopropyl or vitc packets either. Haven't even needed to dip into the food yet - that is coming shortly though.

The problem is Dumbocrats and RINOs sold out the citizens to enrich the Chicoms. We used to make everything domestically. We have to make things here or die.

I am trying to figure out the need related to diabetics.. I am an insulin dependent diabetic... and I don't need it for cleaning anything. Of course I don't have a pump or other such equipment... just my needles and insulin.

Buy grain alcohol, but FYI I bought 2 bottles of 70% isopropyl online from Walmart about a month ago. Just checked, out of stock.

Edit: I get Botox every three months and last time the doctor used grain bc not even he could procure isopropyl.

There are places to buy it, but as we knew would happen, it's only for those willing to pay a steep price.

I use my syringes until they get dull.. my current ones from Walgreens sometimes last a week but not usually. I don't clean the skin on my belly at all.. unless I spilled something on it.. I don't have fat much on my legs.. so all these 15 to 20 years I have used my belly. I take insulin 4 to 6 times a day.

the needle is only sterile before its first use but I have never had any sort of infection from using it over and over.. I don't change the xxxxx in my finger stabber either until the they gets dull enough to hurt either. I am used to my germs. I have never lost a vial of insulin either from sticking used needles into it.

You see back in my days of high school... and helping a vet.. we just keep it all in the fridge and I still do that for me. I have saved an incredible amount on syringes over the years for Medicare and Medicaid.

I used to years ago have to take ACTH... which is by injection always and same thing... kept it in the fridge and used the same syringe until it was dull then too.

and yea and on Vit B12 shots long ago too. I guess it was 12.. might have been b6.. would have to recheck that one..

I do wash my hands well before testing my sugar.. because they need to not have any glucose on them. Otherwise I wouldn't give a hoot on that one either.

In the hospital between patients .. that is a different story.

I had to laugh when hand sanitizer became a thing.

I had one big bottle of it...one small bottle (12 ounce) and another small bottle that was half empty.

I'm still working on the small opened bottle...I have yet to open a fresh bottle.
