Inflation has hit them hard. To cope means a lot of overtime and most likely would cause divorces in any young ladies in that field. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70727027 Young women shouldn't be wasting their time on careers. They should wait til their babies are in school, at least. Starting young is a recipe for ruining your life and being resentful. You'll start, then get preggo, stop working, come back missing loads of knowledge and experience, be resentful that you're going backwards instead of quickly forward. If you wait too long, you won't be able to find a man worth anything that's interested in your old eggs...if I've seen it once I've seen it a hundred times. |

V shaped recovery my ass. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73506449 When you shut down an economy, it's meant to be a TEMPORARY shutdown, not one that goes on and on for month after month after month. Should've been up and running again in 2 months! BUT all those intelligent (not) college kids had to go out and protest, so NOW we have a long-term economic shutdown. ENJOY, idiots! |

There are zero Bible verses allowing Christian ladies to work for a boss. They can run a household or a home based business. An excellent one used to be organizing outings for elderly folks. Many young people could get a 2 year associates degree in nursing and do just fine, like a combat vet who transtions into emergency nursing. There is endless overtime as so many women get pregnant or quit due to the stress. |

That little taste of poverty is what is supposed to inspire someone to better themselves. But today most just sit back and cry how they can't afford an Escalade while working the drive thru window at Steak n Shake. People are just pathetic. You clearly haven't thought about the importation of low IQ's and it's effects on America. This isn't the 1960's zoomer. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78273416 And the thing is prices are not going up for the most part. Portion sizes are going down. Now I have to buy the big package of toilet paper that cost me 16.99. The same size, and brand I wanted, used to cost me 12 tops. But that and beef are the two major price jumps. I have to buy ammo and rubbing alcohol in smaller sizes but with slightly bigger prices. no more bulk or large size bottles. I'd say 2 more stimulus checks, 6-9 more months of BLM, and one election is all its going to take for us to start looking like the Weimar Republic. Yeah the dollar tree toilet paper shrank in size about a year ago. Dollar tree should really be $3 dollar tree or more now. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70727027 I don't see how average people live now. Those jobs don't exist, only bad service jobs. The middle class was destroyed, real estate and car prices are outrageous, and food is generally expensive, though pork is still a bargain. Most likely, your children and grandchildren will live with you as was the norm before 1945. The Democrats and RINOs ruined the economy which gave rise to suburban life from 1946-1990. The death knell was in 2000 and worsened severely by 2008. Oh yeah. Families are moving back in with one another. Maybe not a bad thing with no more latch key kids because someone is always home. A friend of mine just put an addition on his home for his daughter and grandkids. Everyone is actually happy. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70727027 So basically if you and your wife make $90,000 then you are making what a single guy working as an industrial mechanic or electrician made as a craftsman in 1990...and working in a very low expense region. They hakved wages and that is not even discussing health insurance which was ruined along with most benefits. Sure some in urban areas make MORE, but what is median price home cost? It's ridiculous, so you make even less in purchasing power than someone in a rural area. One big drawback from the rural areas are that you dont have many options when it comes to stores. Keep this in mind: city/suburban areas are generally way cheaper on prices for just about everything because there are so many stores competing. In rural areas you may have 1 maybe 2 stores and they can charge what they want. Btw, i much prefer rural areas... I’m rural. I can head into the nearest city once in a while if I need something we don’t have here. Or I can order it off the internet. I’m finding I really don’t need much. And am intermittent fasting now so food budget has gone down. |
