CONNECTICUT: State Trooper Goes On EPIC Rant After Being Flipped Off By A Driver

Normally, I would say this dude needs to get another job. He is going to end up losing his shit at someone and blasting them or beating the shit out of them and doing time for it.

But I kind of understand how pissed off cops are with all this bullshit going on. So i really dont blame him for losing his shit when the fuckin weed head kid talks to him like that.

I get pulled over and I tend to be respectful and treat the cop like I want to be treated. If he gives me shit after I have given nothing but respect, THEN I will escalate how I talk to him.

So far every cop I have ever dealt with has been cordial or just all business and not emotional at all. They give me my ticket or warning and go about their business.

I've been accosted like this by several cops over the years, one time with my colleague that ran the school with me.

We got done with our lunch and some unmarked car in Philly pulls up behind us and pulled us out of our car and ran our pockets very much like this dude... the guy tossed my pocket knife and got belligerent.

When they finally left us go, I looked in the mirror and the "detectives" were literally fist bumping and laughing their asses off in the cruiser as they peeled out and bailed.

This shit isn't a racial issue, it's a HUMAN issue.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

They won't leave.

This happened on the infamous Q Bridge....which is often said to connect Africa (New Haven) and Italy (East Haven).

Gonna get more and more frequent as cops say fuck it enough is enough.

In order to be an employee of the corporate police you have to violate scripture by taking an oath which is against scripture.

If he was a bully and a tyrant the guy would be in jail; there was enough there for it.

What this was, was an answer to why we don't just drive around and flip police off / demand for the police to be abolished.

It's because a cop honestly trying to do his job, putting his own life at risk for our safety, should NEVER have to deal with this sort of thing from every day people that are not breaking laws.

Many of these officers deserve our utmost respect for what they do. Damnit I respect this officer. The way he was able to convey what he was trying to do while this guy, breaking cannabis laws, gets in the way for no fucking reason.

This was a life lesson. I hope it was taken as such; because police trying to do their jobs honestly while people flip them off, call them racists, call for their jobs, etc. have fucking had it (and I don't blame them).

This was the father this stupid fucking kid never had explaining how the world works, and why you don't break two laws while flipping off a police officer trying to get actual work done.

That officer is paid for by the citizens. And the citizens with a higher-than-one-digit IQ want the money to be spent preventing crime, not explaining obvious shit like this to ignorant kids.

This is why you need to tell your kids to make sure they only pull over in a public space that is well-lit if they are being pulled over... there are some psycho motherfuckers out there just looking for a reason to end up on the front page of the news.

A lot of people are ready to snap... fuck.. even little kids aren't right anymore.

The kids in my neighborhood are literally fighting over race and sexual orientation.

I can tell you exactly what happened and no one here seems to be able to parse it out. The cop was speeding without his emergency lights on and the pothead paced him. Used to do this all the time myself and they NEVER pulled me over. Off course I didn't smile and flip them off

The theory is if the cop pulls you over and gives you a ticket for following the same speed he is, all you really have to do is plead not guilty and say you assumed the police would be driving the speed limit, whatever it was. Without them lights and a siren blaring they ARE NOT allowed to violate rules of the road or laws concerning the safe operation of vehicles.

It gets him in ALOT more trouble that the citizen for going 20 over the speed limit. Around here thats normal really.

I got behind one in an unmarked vehicle driving 100mph+ the other day, followed him 13 miles into town. On the way I saw two cops going the opposite direction and none of them moved on me, and I know damned well had I been out there by myself I'd be paying a big fine.

Too angry to safely enforce the law. The high speed 3 lane sweep of the interstate just to catch a guy flipping him the bird indicates mental instability IMO

When someone flips me off in traffic I just shoot then the old double eagle and laugh

Someone correct me if I am wrong here. I know the laws change all the time and might be different there, but in the three states I have lived in no emergency vehicle is allowed to violate traffic laws unless the emergency siren is on. WHen I lived in New York during the Carter years the speed limit was 55 on the throughway (a toll road) but non emergency "pace cars" from the highway DOT with that phrase displayed on a huge sign on the back of a pickup would set the pace just under 70mph. No one ever got pulled over even though the speed limit was posted at 55, and the reason was the slower traffic clogged the highway during peak hours. They "raised the blood pressure" a bit.

He let him go because he had no choice. He COULD have busted him for possession because he is supposed to have the dope in "dispensary containers", same law in Colorado. He let him go because ticketing him would be an official admission of misconduct while on the clock
