Probably Dracula 1932 because of Lugosi's brilliant portrayal, Todd Browning's direction and photography.

Superb and stark portrayal of the eternal vicious cycle of evil preying upon good and unsuspecting humanity. Also tremendous because men knew what action to take when confronted with the terror of such plain, malignant evil.



On a comedic level, there is Howard Hawks' Bringing Up Baby.

For shear human drama The Days Of Wine & Roses, and possibly On The Waterfront.

For action & thriller: Vertigo or North By Northwest




Dracula though is a film especially releveant for our times... Vampyrism of all types has been revealed as manifested within The Top in all levels of society, business, and government on a worldwide basis. This malignancy and ruin must be dealt with as decisively as Harker and Van Helsing dealt with Dracula and his minion.

The Top truly have an insatiable bloodlust of greed on all levels and seek only the destruction of mankind. That it takes a stake through the heart to destroy vampires is not a coincidence. There can be no allowances made for these wretched creatures who murder others and destroy nations for mere gain.

Dracula is no mere allegory. Only They Live is a more direct story of the evil that resides among us...

Yeah 'Squints' is cool but not better than the Ugly marble eye guy right?

This movie is incredibly underrated and vastly unknown in the realm of Great Movies.

It truly is one of the best from the scenery and plot to acting and story line. It really is one of the greatest movies of all time.
