Going on a road trip - Dakota bound - novels or songs about the road

So we decided to take on the idea of going to the Dakotas, not so much what is going on right now, BUT for the fact we have been to 48 out of the 50 state capitols and that was many years ago, just never got to the last two.

We figured this would be a good time to complete the original mission.

Are we crazy to do this now, or screw it? Wondering about mostly stupid shit on the roads and CV closures of places.

Only because, when I see crap in a place like Provo, it's like WTF?

4000 miles round trip in two weeks. Via Americana what is left of it.

Thinking more 'blue highways' to use an old map term and avoid the cities.
