Anyone else's wife watch these fucking murder mystery shows all the time?

Anyone else that had the same problem as you, isn't alive anymore to respond. Their wives poisoned their coffee and stabbed them in their sleep.

I asked her how she would feel if I was exclusively watching instructional shows on how to kill her and get rid of the body.

That was pretty much the end of that.

Years ago, I was obsessed with the Jeffrey Macdonald case. I found some forum on the internet, and we were all amateur sleuths. I actually printed off court documents and went through them obsessively. I found it fascinating.

I contacted the authors of a book that claimed his innocence, and they actually wrote me back. I had emailed them but they sent me a letter in the mail answering my questions and then told me that they were very busy and wouldn't have time to answer any more questions that I might have. My dad was actually worried when I got that letter. lol

A woman who married him while he was in prison set up a website for him that was about the case. She had NO photos of his pregnant wife and two little girls who were murdered, just him. I emailed her and told her I thought it was disgusting...which I shouldn't have done because she then added photos of them, so it was completely fake. She answered some of my initial questions, but when she realized I didn't really buy some of the things she was telling me, she blocked me from emailing her.

I've since read threads on here about him where some posters thought he was innocent. Based on all I read, I still don't believe that.

That depends. Some people just like solving mysteries or understanding what makes people tick.

I love watching these shows. I try to figure out who’s guilty before the end of the show.

I've been wondering about the American (not sure tbh if it's just American) fascination with those shows and now all of the shows about old serial killers and cults. When I was in college 3 years ago I remember my friends being obsessed with these shows. One friend in particular who wanted to first be a cop, then a social worker, and now an elementary teacher has all kinds of mental health stuff (why she couldn't be a cop) and I seriously wonder how that kind of programming effects someone's already distressed mental state.
Murder mystery dinners are also apparently still a thing. Even up in bumfuck northern California I had at least 5 40 year old co-workers do a whole dinner party because they would spend all day at work LISTENING to the murder mystery podcasts and were obsessed.
I'm not sure if people are watching them and getting "ideas", I honestly never liked any of that stuff after I finished Dexter (which was entirely fictional) in 2014.

I got addicted to Midsomer Murders for awhile; then it was ID Discovery, Unsolved Mysteries, Wives with Knives, hahahaha...I haven't watched any of them in awhile. I still go on binges when new material is released. But I balance it out by watching pet collective or news or a lot of other stuff.

Investigation Discovery is awesome! These are true stories. What's amazing is how many husbands and wives kill their spouses. Why not a divorce?

I watched one three days ago. The mother forbid her daughter to see a guy two years older....because he was 18 and her daughter was 16! They were so sweet together. This woman was telling the story on the show and didn't even appear to be upset after the young couple took their own lives. The mother just wanted to be right. She never said she regretted keeping them apart. I would have felt so much guilt if I did that to my child.
