He was a free market capitalist. The holy grail of free market capitalism said by many years ago was if anyone can do your job cheaper anywhere in the world, you are being overpaid. When Clinton was elected the Chinese were still in medieval times to a very large degree. I happened to see the very first PRC booth in the CES show--January 1994 IIRC. Their high tech item was a UHF TV set. Bill Clinton GAVE them supercomputer technology. Even at that, it took a good ten years for them to make serious headway. Without the Clintons help, China would still be 30 years behind. Nixon did stab the RoC in the back but sometimes you just have to face reality. Taiwan was not China. Clinton and Obama were considered liberals but they were actually free market capitalists. Clinton defended the free market capitalists against the protesters wishes and sold us out. Obama bailed out the banksters against the 2008 protesters wishes. |
