I have thought about the hate issue. I think that hate is just anger unresolved. For example, if you learn that a pedophile raped a child, then it is normal to be angry at that pedophile. I would go so far as to say that any good person would be angry at that pedophile.

If you learn that pedophile died, then that anger disappears, because the source of anger is gone. However, if you learn that the pedophile got out of jail and continues to do wicked deeds, your anger may persist. Every time you think about that pedophile, you may feel angry - and that is what we call hate. It's prolonged unresolved anger.

So, I don't think that only bad people become haters. Good people can and do become haters when injustice and outrages take place that go unresolved.

In our sick society, injustice has become the norm, so it's easy for good people to remain in a perpetual state of anger. The only way that I have found to get away from this is to unplug from the news, seek out a few like-minded people, and reject the sick world.

I'm a bit torn on this, because it also feels like running away. If we do not keep up to date and share our opinions about what is going on, then our enemies will continue to share theirs one-sidedly and they will dominate the information war. If they dominate the information war, then things will only get worse for us.

What is the answer? I don't know. I just do a little of both, I guess. When I get too angry I unplug until I am in a healthier state. When I am in a healthy state, I get back into the info war.

One thing is for sure - it's not just bad people who hate.
