Think about it. It's 1999... The Bush dynasty is in full operation and you probably have a good realization that the sitting president had something to do with your father's assassination. Oliver Stone is in the middle of producing the JFK movie which opened a lot of deep seeded feelings about JFK on both sides. (who knows what information was unearthed researching that movie?)

The Clinton dynasty comes in right after his death and then Bush comes back....

Not necessarily on the subject but I'm an original Massachusetts girl with parents that loved the Kennedys. We HAD to go to "The Penny beach" and drive by the Compound each year while on vacation.

I continue that with my daughter and we drove by about 10 years ago and RFK Jr. was walking up the road towards the compound in shorts and a t-shirt, looking all beachy in his flip flops, all by himself. The road was empty of black SUVs which happens when any Kennedy dies or while having a party.

I screamed, "Omg! That's RFK Jr.!" with the windows shut in the car. He could hear me.. was all by himself.. and gave a nice little smile. I would have expected an eye-roll or something, but he gave a genuine smile.

This was also the year the movie about his dad came out so it was extra "special". I always liked him anyway, but after that, he went up a few levels on the respect scale. Plus he's not bad on the eyes ;).

When we drive by once a year I always keep my eye out for JFK Jr. I know it's a long shot, but it's fun to hope!
