How do you feel about the attempt to shove you in a little box of performance?

It's about brainwashing rather than mind-conquering. Alienation from a culture happens for a reason, and it isn't because the alienated person is evil or afflicted with demons that need casting out or 'integrating' as a 'shadow self.' A mind where everything has its place is a mirror or a society where everyone has their place. I see a wide world out there where I once had the chance to rise to my very modest ambitions, and I see the cramped, hostile, vicious world where those who condemned my goals as selfish and evil have nearly boundless ambition, greed, desire to control others, and grudges with murderous payloads being held for centuries and millenia.

This is all not to mention the somatic and psychological degeneration of dealing with this radioactive waste for any length of time. This has been a journey. We didn't get along. I don't like you. Now I know why.

Are we talking about the same thing? I'm talking about liberation from the cycle of birth and death, primarily. The changing of one's realm of influence is a natural consequence of meditative training depending on intention.
