I quit drinking 3 years ago, and I'll never touch that shit again.

Continetal shift worker here. 12 hour days and nights. Mon Tue nights. Fri Sat Sun days. Wed Thrs nights, Mon Tues days etc. I need a stiff drink after a shift then I need a bigger stiffer drink betwen shifts to get to sleep pattern turned around. I work with Muslims too, fuck knows how they manage with 5 kids and no alcohol. No wonder they are so eager to blow shit up.

I have a full liquor cabinet and nary drink a drop. Southern hosptality is big here. When friends visit, you offer them an adult beverage, typically bourbon.

But actually drinking it is rare. Ain't nothing wrong with a snort every once in awhile.

If you need a drink, that ain't healthy. You need to think about that. Something else is going on as you can't relax. Try Jesus.

Otherwise a well made strong mint julep is civilized. How can you watch horseracing without a mint julep?

Not everyone who drinks is trying to numb their emotions, some drink for a dopamine high, from boredom, to socialize...it's not black or white. And relationships are usually ruined if one person drinks too much and the other does not. If both drink the same amount it's party time mixed in with fighting, but the relationship is not necessarily ruined.

I did them for a little over a year when I started vaping them that was the moment I fucked up. Been clean for 2 years but literally everyday I have heavy cravings for the couple different ones I tried. I'd say all of them are more addictive than vaped Meth and Crack combined from my experience...
