That is horrible about the diabetic mom, child, & family. I always thought western justice was blind and fair. But when stories like this and Travon Martin leak out out I can see desperation in the people who sense that they aren’t getting a fair shake.

At first I thought you were going to say the Law arrested the victim for possession of drugs & paraphernalia. The “long walk” to town for supplies sucks too...especially considering that all the Obama Care plans require mail-order scripts after the first handful from the Doc specialist. I’m assuming, of course, that the US Postal Service operates there.

Frankly, I always thought the BIA took care of the 1st Nations people’s health, education, & welfare needs way better than that of the other Americans. I also thought The Tribes had their own law enforcement and system.

Most people I know don’t really care for changes of any kind good or bad...those same people really detest changes, that are forced down their throats by people they don’t like.

I was fortunate to be able to tune into the Live Stream from both sides of the barricades. I thought the protesters did a good job of explaining their grievances. In short, the negotiations over that property ended with a check being cut...but not cashed...sitting in escrow gaining interest...some of the tribe never wanted to give up the land for any price and felt like the deal was crammed down their throats by people they didn’t like.

I felt sorry for the larger group of protesters who seemed to have been hastily gathered up in the vans. The real trouble-makers are red shoe agitators like the dunce who climbed on top of the vans to direct the attacks. and hopefully they and their kind will be sent to the pen or wake up to how stupid their appear to the rest of us (not that I speak for us all).

I noticed some of the peaceful protesters realized they were being setup for massacre when the tires were slashed and removed.
I noticed the good people looking for escape routes in the woods. I never heard how they got back to the reservation...probably “a long walk”?

Mt. Rushmore Protest Leader Hit with Plethora of Charges After Blocking Highway

One of the leaders of the protest that shut down the highway to Mount Rushmore last Friday prior to President Donald Trump’s Fourth of July celebration at the monument is facing five criminal charges.

On Monday, Nick Tilsen was charged with second-degree robbery and simple assault for allegedly stealing a shield and assaulting a law enforcement officer, the Rapid City Journal reported.

The Porcupine resident and member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe is also charged with three misdemeanors for impeding a highway, unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct.

The court system is corrupt and needs to be changed. No judge should have the kind power to imprison people without a crime actually being committed.

Judges are not gods but they act like they are and the goons with guns back them up. It needs to stop.

They are called "hanging judges" for a reason. Was observing court cases with some other students for a couple of days years ago. The judge's court we were in scared the shit out of people. The hanging judge was maxing out everyone's sentence. He rolled through so many cases so fast giving people 10, 20 and 30 years for petty shit. After lunch his docket was clear so he volunteered to take some cases from some of the other judges. The defense lawyers were doing everything in their power to get their cases continued to avoid being tried by the hanging judge. Same couple of days one of the judges was a lady judge that spent all her time either drunk or in court. Between the two the defense all wanted the alcoholic judge because at least she would go by the guidelines for sentencing. The hanging judge was sent one guy away 10 years for 1/2 ounce of pot. He was lighting up everybody, every defense attorney in the building hated him.

What we learned as students was simple, the system is totally rigged and judges are tyrannical egotistical monsters. Same goes for the prosecutors. We saw one particularly loathsome prosecutor. She was the most vindictive bitch from hell any of us had ever seen.

After that experience none of us wanted to be lawyers or to ever associate with anyone connected to the court system. They felt like they were all horrible people at best. That may not be the case everywhere but I'd bet it's close.

Just to be clear, cops are considered officers of the court. They are an integral part of the system. Between the cops testimony, crooked or otherwise, the crooked prosecutors, the hanging judges and skid row alkey bum judges most perps don't stand a chance in hell in seeing justice. Hang them all, let god sort them out seems to be the only justice there is.
