I believe what we're seeing now is "peak Salesforce." If you don't know, Salesforce is a company that does analytics based social media branding and messaging.

People have been (and still are, I guess) taking an algorithmic approach to messaging that is both total bullshit and now very transparent. Most of the colleges are out of control. If you have kids currently in high school going into college shortly, have them sit out a few years and perhaps have them go to a trade school and take a part-time job for money.
