what to do when your whole life falls apart?

I had the exact same thing happen to Me two years ago and when I finally got over the ex corona hit and now I won't be able to get on My feet for a long time due to it. I will give You the most important advice do not attempt to find love until Your heart is healed completely. The reason I say this is because in Your position Your mind is telling You that You are worthless and You will do anything to hear or to feel that You are worthy of love and scammers know this and they will take advantage of this. You would be surprised by the amount of scammers online and if they know that You have a decent job they will work on You for months knowing the pay off will be good.

My whole life fell apart when the virus hit. My wife screwed me over to the point where i was homeless, penniless, jobless etc. I got beaten and robbed downtown and lost everything but my jacket and boots. I spent the end of March and the month of April in an energency covid shelter. I took a job working at a winery moving barrels and building fences. Got another job at a motel that got a roof over my head. Got another job at a factory. I met my best friend at the emergency shelter. She and i are seeing each other now. I am in the middle of a divorce, working 6 or 7 days a week and I am the happiest i have been in years. I am grateful my wife fucked me over and i don't have to deal with her ever again. I am grateful i got rolled for my back pack and laptop. I am grateful i lost everything and got to start a new life. It has been an amazing experience. Thank you God.

You sound like a dignified person. Take that dignity and hold your head up and put one foot in front of the other. You go this. It won't be easy, but you can do it.

The only advice I can offer is that if your partner would leave during your most vulnerable time, then it is probably best they are gone.

The worst thing in the world is when we see someone's true colors, because it is really painful. But it ends up being the best thing for us because it is eliminating people that we don't need there in the first place.

i also hear you about love. this will take time. i could use some physical closeness (and i am not talking about sex...).
but i am an old school man.

i don't have anything for the scammers to take. so, i guess that is something in my favor. i sold the last few valuable possessions i had to keep me going this week. i wanted/had to pay off two part time employees, and didn't want to leave them any worse off... they lost their side gig as it is.

How many times when you were in a relationship, did someone else show interest, but when you're single, it's harder to find a descent person of interest? That's how life works....it's always testing your character. Rise up to the challenge and a better day will await!

JJ, sorry, man. But I do agree that at some point you will be grateful for shedding someone so undependable. You have to go through grief, it's just of it.

It will take time. You are going to find life will be better without someone you have to keep propping up. It becomes addictive and draining to care for someone who doesn't care back. The lack of drama and loneliness will be unsettling for a while,but start being good to yourself for a change.

Try to remember who you were before her and the things you liked that you lost about yourself because of who she wanted you to be.

I'm sorry about the work situation. I also had lost my steady income when life fell apart for me. Somehow after a bit, I began digging out of financial hole I fell in. It's only money and you are priceless.
You can turn it around. Pray for a better job. One is out there.

All of the home service businesses are booming right now and hiring. Windows, pools, landscape, remodeling. Maybe you can look for sales position or work related in one of these industries.

When I read your your thread title I was instantly transported back to when my whole life fell apart. My instant gut response was to say "curl yourself up under the wings of the almighty. He will shelter you there like an eagle with its eaglet hiding safely under dads wing.

I have been there. My ex continues all these years later still in all his same bad draining ways, but I live free from all that and in peace. I have managed to get up everyday and work and care for myself. I am rebuilding a better life. It's not perfect but I have learned to take responsibility for my decisions that got me in a bad relationship and kept me there.

One day not so far in your future as you think, you will look back and be so grateful that you were given a chance at a better life and a healthier way of caring for yourself. God bless you.

thank you. i hear you, but at the moment, i'm not thinking about women. i'm just trying to keep it together when i have to talk to someone on the phone. i gather up my composure and try to pretend all is ok, and with the slightest reminder, i fucking lose it and can barely speak. it will come. one day at a time.

Pray, fast, weep and mourn. Then when you have done that, pick yourself up and keep moving forward.

Wow.....so you are telling me you are having issues buying and selling? Your family is turning against you?

very kind of you to share this. thank you very much. the new job search began today, right after i absolved my company. i built a small business over 20 years ago, and it was also sad to let it go, but there was no other choice...

now i'm brushing up the resume, making phone calls to possible leads, and figuring out what i can do. and, deep down, i already know i am better off in the long run. i just have to make it out of this hole.

What do ya got to lose? Why not seek the LORD while He may be found? Why not do some research, find a good moral church with an excellent program, and go and study the Bible with 'em?
