Re: Losing the faith: it's been 2000 years. Jesus ain't coming back. How long are we supposed to wait?
Since all I hear is that the Bible will define itself. And with that theory in mind.... Back in 2000 years? Our years right? But the Bible claims that a year is like a day with God. So if a year has 365 days, but then it's said that the year has increased and was at one time 360 days... so let's go with the smaller number and do some math.

360/days x 2000/years = 720,000 days/years. If a day of God's is one year for us.... Lots of people are wrong aren't they?

Time is "relative". The way time works is very interesting. Sometimes, it very fast and you wonder where the "time" went. And sometimes it's so slow, it seems to take FOREVER to end.

You, nor anyone else will know the time and hour of Jesus's return. But if you want to know the time it will happen and it will be so close you can smell his perfume.... You are looking for the two witnesses standing before the Jerusalem temple proclaiming Jesus is coming back. And these two witnesses will have powers that will allow no one to hurt them or remove them from the gates of the temple.

This temple is close to being completed. The priests/rabbis have been found, garments and other temple things are made. Even the altar is made. They just need a building and they are working on that too.

This temple will not be on the Temple Mound. It will be down the hill in the old "city of David". When you see this temple start to go up, then you can start your watch. Until then, enjoy your life and be patient. While looking forward to this day, I am also dreading it because on this day, many will perish forever. Call it bittersweet. Tears of joy and tears of sorrow at the same time.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Pestilence. Covid.

To me we are at the latter part of rumors and the psalms 83 war will soon commence.

You were never saved anyway OP - so what does it matter to you?

You should be thankful you are getting more time to repent.

This is nonsense unless it's part of an overall strategy to on the one hand deliberately fulfill prophecy while on the other hand engaging in the CogDisProp of denying that it's happening.

Such CogDisProp could accurately be described as sorcery of the minor variety which would then actually also fulfill the scriptural prophecy of an increase in sorcery in the last days.

Or are certain people using “prophecies” as blueprints to follow, which they think will give them credibility with a rather large portion of the earth’s population?

It’s a recruiting strategy, to get more people to join the religion. It’s for them, not for you who are already in the religion,

Re: Losing the faith: it's been 2000 years. Jesus ain't coming back. How long are we supposed to wait?
With every year that passes, it takes more and more faith to believe Jesus is coming back.

Will people still be believing after 5,000 years? 50,000 years? A million years?

All those hundreds of thousands of Christians praying as the Romans marched them into the colosseum. God didn't save a one of them.

Now 2,000 years later and nothing.

What's the point of Jesus even coming back if 99% of everyone who believed died waiting? Just stay in heavan until the last believer gives up.

He's not coming back.

He's dead.

He is coming back.
The Bible does say that there would be a great falling away first. Among other things.
The world will get so bad that if He doesn't come back, there would be no flesh left on earth. That sounds pretty bad to me. He is our only hope.
He is coming out of the clouds. Everyone will see Him.

No, IT HAS NOT BEEN 2,000 YEARS.

Christ ascended in 33AD.

The prophecy says, "A thousand years, but not another thousand years"...

There is believed to be a 4 year error on the AD-BC system...

So, we have until 2029AD.... and, creepily, all the end time prophecies are being borne out.

I guess you didnt read coptic martyrdoms... or any martyrdom manuscripts for that matter. I'm sure you'll just call scriveners going off verified first-person account as 'lies' or 'myth' anyways *shrug*

People like you woulda died if they threw a plastic spoon at your forehead-

"Then the holy man suffered agonies through tortures such as these: they made gashes in various parts of the body of the holy man with iron knives; they poured vinegar and acid upon his wounds; they dug out the nails of his hands and feet, one by one; they laid hot ashes upon the places thereof; they brought iron borers red hot from the fire, and they thrust them through his ears until the fire entered his brain; but the holy man endured all these things with fortitude" ...

really sad the judgment that awaits. no Joke, and when you all get parted to the left dont cry too much. the ruler of the nations will not be Christ, till He returns, and this ruler is not nearly as forgiving..

It isn't about when He is coming back. No need to wait for that. It might not be in our lifetimes.

The point is; the last four things. Death, Judgement, Heaven, Hell. When we die, we will be judged, at that point we will be sent to heaven or hell(well, actually, we may have to go to purgatory, unless we've been amazingly good, or have been martyred for our faith, but after that we'll go to heaven).
Those who have not lived good lives, prayed, and loved God above all things, those people will go to hell. Many, many people will go to hell.
Pray, live good lives, follow the commandments, love God, who cares when the second coming is? The point is just love God and your neighbor, and get the get out of hell ticket!
