I'm entirely unsure who is stupider, the idiot doing this "test" or you the idiot who thinks this proves anything.

You do know that there's a MASSIVE difference between suction and a vacuum right?

There's at least a dozen videos on YouTube at any given time showing actual rocket engines working inside a pumped down vacuum chamber...

You know, an actual REAL test not this kindergarten idiot bullshit.

P.s. I've also personally fired a gun I had inside a vacuum enclosure in the name of science. It worked just fine.

So if guns and rockets both actually work in vacuum Chambers when people test it, the obvious conclusion is that this is a very poorly constructed experiment which no one should use as proof of anything one way or another! (Unless it's being used as proof that whoever did this experiment is a mental defective and needs an adult to take legal guardianship of him)

There's almost too many things Wrong with this "experiment" to even list btw and if I could sue you for the 20 minutes of my life back this interaction is taking me, I would.

Lol. The rocket instantly pressurizes the chamber. It’s not a vacuum if it fills up with smoke. It actually proves the the rocket is being pushed by the external pressure. You see the smoke move in the same direction as the rocket.

Try again. The supposed vacuum chamber has more pressure than atmosphere. Maybe they should keep a powerful vacuum pump running to remove all that smoke Being generated. then the rocket wouldn’t create thrust.

As always, the only thing one gets from engaging in these threads is the disheartening realization that there is indeed people that really believes statements as the one you just put on writing are correct, against all evidence. So, be my guest, keep on believing.

I'm actually embarrassed for you when I read this. You evidently do not realize that the gasses released by the cartridge are pushing against the receiver of the gun you held. Vacuum or no vacuum you are providing a stationary point for the gasses to expand against.

That you do not get this means your critical thinking skills are few, yet you are acting like someone else is stupid.

If you are floating in space holding on to a bowling ball and you push it away, you will feel a force. That force will accelerate you in the opposite direction to the bowling ball.

That is how rockets work in space.

I don't think that these two vids prove the concept of rocket thrust in space.
It seems to me that both are pushing on atmosphere in the case.
Even the fellow said that "I pulled a deeper vacuum" on the final failed test in video #2.

Also we see negative thrust at the beginning of the vid2 firing? Temperature expansion?

I have no idea if rockets work in space, I am just saying that these videos don't prove it.

You have an entire space program of evidence. But you think “it’s a hoax”. No one can help you.

Put the whole car with balloon in a vacuum chamber so that the whole ‘rocket’ is subjected to vacuum. Movement will be observed. This ‘experiment’ is faulty because there is a difference in pressure between where the thrust is being emitted and the rest of the ‘rocket’. People tend to leap to conclusions that support their assumptions. This is what peer review is designed to prevent.

The rocket doesn’t push its exhaust out. The exhaust moves out because of pressure differential. It’s called pressure gradient force

In the test I watched the rocket motor did not move until the small chambers was filled with the gases the rocket was emitting.
