Navy Ship On FIRE!

Thought this shit only happened in places like Russia and not murika.

This appears to be a rescue and carrier ship for helicopters of different types. In this video, you can see the large hospital setting with a huge ICU bay. It supports the marines when they fly in a place to get boots on the ground. A handy ship, not nuclear to my knowledge, but a necessary support.

to chip away/remove old paint and repaint. someone said it was a berthing compartment fire though, which I tend to believe since it looks like smoke is coming from port side amidships so exterior aft work is likely not the cause. Besides, when the navy works on a ship, it's usually all hands on deck and work is going on in most compartments simultaneously. I'll venture, the captain figured it was a good time to perform maintenance since probably reduced ops due to Covid and some internal berthing or other compartment was being worked on too and caught fire.

best hope theres not F-35s in that hanger bay.

If any of them die, their death reports will probably say Covid19 as cause.

Russia's aircarft carrier caught fire as well. And that was not sabotage or an attack.. This could be a similar thing..
