students must go back to schools in fall because ...
.
... parents need "child care" so they can go back to work ...
.
... parents are finding they have no control over their students to do studies/learn ...
.
... money spent for the education "system" must really be spent or their collection cannot be justified ... ie. property tax ...

I predict that schools, universities, and hollywood are on the way out.

I think we are about to go into a new dark age, it's been coming for some time now.

I think we lost, not saying we should give up though.

Here’s an idea: Put Betsy DeVos in an elementary classroom five days a week this fall.

I have thought about how a whole new industry could be opened up. There could be in-home child care/"teachers" PROVIDED by the Fed and State Gov.....I mean, they give boat loads of money to schools....heh, how much do Principles make a year?

A teacher working one on one or two or three....man, what an education those kids could get. There would be no need for the cafeteria....heh, just how much money do you think is spent country wide on feeding kids, including the people making their food, the monitors watching the little cretins so they don't stick food up their noses.

I realize youse guyses are probably thinking that it's purely and simply unpractical $$$-wise and logistics-wise, regular teachers would probably have to take a pay cut, but they'd also have less responsibility. No doubt, there are more households, than teachers...but there could be new guidelines developed for what is required to be a K-12 teacher.

I think a pro-teacher could teach three kids what they need to in half the time it takes to teach 30+ kids half of what they need to learn.....heh, I've been a grade school substitute teacher and a lunch and recess monitor.....damned they're little monsters while in packs....chuckle

I mean, I was out on the recess field monitoring, and I caught this little 5th grader BOY telling another girl how he wanted to have sex with her. I yelled for him to stop and to come over to me, and the little cretin started walking away saying, "My god, we're fifth graders, what do you expect?"....like it was the most normal thing on the planet.

Believe it or not, grade school children talk about and do have sex. His little touckas got hauled off to the Principals office.

I caught another fifth grader nicking another with a razor blade she'd brought to school. She was expelled....from GRADE SCHOOL! Yikes!

Many of them are little monsters, and they're sneaky and crafty....the lil numb noggin's.

I love em, the kids, but they are off the hook these days.

I'm hoping that parents have learned while being locked down with their kids, that they need to get some reigns on them. They need to teach them some manners and HOW to respect another human being.

We, everyone, are going to have to start thinking in fresh ways, because we have most certainly been shoved out of our comfort zones.

My idea may seem far fetched, but it can be honed to good, yes?

Socialization and mental health. Not every student has a great home life and school is often a sanctuary for these students.
